There Are Many Rumors About Why Steve Burns Left “Blue Clues” In 2001
Burns began his run as Steve, Blue’s best friend, in 1996. He finally left the show in 2001 when Joe stepped in and played the role of Steve’s younger brother. The big question on everyone’s mind is why did he leave? One of the main reasons she left was that she started losing her hair and didn’t want to wear a wig on TV. “I will never be a boy again,” he said.
But there is another decision. “I don’t know it yet, but I’m the happiest depressed person in North America. I struggled with severe clinical depression the entire time I was on the show. It’s my job to be really full of joy and wonder at all times, and that’s been impossible.” She went on to explain, “I’ve always been able to dig in and find something that feels authentic to me that’s good enough to be on the show, but after years of going to the well without refilling it, there is a cost. “
Burns took some time to recover after leaving the show. “My strategy is, ‘Hey, you got something great, so just fight.’ Turns out, you’re not fighting depression; you collect,” he said. “After I left ‘Blue’s Clues,’ there was a long healing period. It wasn’t until my father died that I started taking things seriously, and my life became more manageable.”
And while he hopes he gets the help he needs while still playing Steve on the show, he doesn’t think that will stop him from taking off. “But I will be able to embrace my role, and rest a little more,” he explained. “Because now, when I look back, all I see is that impossible gift.”
Many Rumors Started After Steve Burns Suddenly Quit The Kids Show
After she left the show, rumors started as to what the reason was. Some say he died in a car accident, others say he overdosed on heroin. Some also refer to the fact that he was killed. Burns made several media appearances throughout the year just to put the ridiculous rumor to rest.
To further clarify any rumors floating around, Burns’ Instagram handle is “steveburnsalive” and his bio simply says, “Alive.”
