Evans and Echard fell in love with each other during Echard’s season of “The Bachelor.” Their romance got off to a rocky start following the season finale: Evans would eliminate himself after coming third behind future ‘Bachelorettes’ Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey.

An author and health coach, Echard will finish his season without giving any of his top three ladies his signature Neil Lane sparkler. She and Evans would resume their romance off camera but eventually split in the fall of 2022.

Evans took a break from her wedding videographer work and blogging lifestyle to visit Nick Viall’s “Viall Files” podcast for a recap of this week’s ‘Bachelor’ episode. As it’s fantasy suite week in Zach Shallcross’s rose-fueled bubble, Evans talks compatibility and chemistry.

The 29-year-old was also candid in sharing her thoughts on her ex’s compatibility with other women.

Echard Has Recently Been Hanging Out With Recchia And Their Hangout Has Been Documented On Social Media

The ‘other woman’ is none other than Echard’s ex, Recchia. She and Echard ended their relationship in a painful separation; Echard made one of the most controversial breakup decisions in recent Bachelor Nation history when she broke up with Recchia and Windey at the same time.

Recchia adamantly told Echard she would regret breaking off their relationship.

The former couple will raise eyebrows after they were spotted hanging out with Michelle Young and ‘Bachelorette’ alum Blake Horstmann and his girlfriend, “Love Is Blind” alum Giannina Gibelli.

Recchia would soon deny dating rumors on Instagram, and Echard would open up about the reunion.

Echard will provide more details on last month’s Our Weekly “Here For The Right Roses” podcast.

Echard told the outlet, “The conversation was very strong. I walked away from that experience, and I just remember thinking like, “Man, this feels so rewarding. And I’m so glad to know someone like him- after everything that happened- everyone who was mad at me, [but] no one can make me madder than him or Gabby. And for him to forgive me and tell me that, ‘Hey, I get it, and I’m not against you anymore,’ that was probably one of the best things I could have heard…” he detailed. (per The Blast)

Evans Reveals His Thoughts On Recchia’s Compatibility With Echard

Evans is thought to have cryptically replied to his ex who was hanging out with Recchia at the time.

If her cryptic Instagram story reference was indeed a deliberate response, it wasn’t the only time she thought about their relationship.

Viall asked Evans some tough questions on this week’s episode of the podcast. The newly engaged host talked to Evans about the ensuing pressures of fantasy suite week, and the myriad possible reasons why relationships on Bachelor Country tend to not work out after engagement.

Evans revealed he wouldn’t have bothered to get back with Echard for a second chance after their show if he believed their relationship had worked out. He also revealed he struggles more with the emotional intimacy side of their romance, than any insecurities related to physical intimacy.

“I remember fighting for a long time, thinking like, and to this day I still think, I’m like, ‘Why did you choose me?’ Like, we don’t get along!” shouted Evans.

He added, “I think it’s more a testament to the show process… you don’t get enough quality time with the person. In my mind, I mean, the privacy behind the fantasy suite, like in my mind, I’m like, ‘I have to ask every question under the moon, I really want to get to know that person on a deeper level, I want to know so much about them on a deeper level,” she continued, “Because that’s the only time you can really be real and raw, and like, not have to worry about the world judging you, but the show doesn’t give you enough time to have that kind of conversation.”

Evans notes that contestants don’t determine their compatibility level until after the show.

“I remember looking back and saying, ‘You’re so much more compatible with people like… well, Rachel.’ I remember thinking, I was like, ‘why did you pick me? Like, you have someone that you might be really into, and another girl that just doesn’t work out.”

After Viall confirmed his statement, he maintained that Recchia and Echard would make a more compatible couple during filming.

She also revealed a real-world realization that gave her new insight into her post-show relationship with Echard.

Evans regularly shares other personal insights on his blog.
