‘Swifties’ have had a busy 2023 so far. The 33-year-old embarked on his highly-anticipated ‘Eras Tour’ and announced his next re-recording of ‘Taylor’s Version’ only to be released shortly after; “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” was released on July 9th!
Although fans haven’t been in the “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” ‘era’ for a long time, Swifties are already trying to figure out if the “Style” singer has started subtly hinting at her next re-recording. Swift’s landmark 2014 LP, “1989” seems to be the consensus to be the next record to receive the re-recording treatment!

The idea of ”1989″ receiving the re-recording treatment sooner rather than later isn’t out of the realm of possibility!
In 2021, the original version of “Wildest Dreams” went viral on TikTok, so Swift gave her fans “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” a little early! In the video, Swift included “You set the date for ‘Red’ in November and someone said ‘1989,’ as the lyrics. “Red (Taylor’s Version)” was indeed released in November.
In early 2022, Swifties discovered that ‘Taylor’s’ version of ‘This Love’ existed when Swift revealed that it had been included in Amazon Prime’s adaptation of Jenny Han’s book series, “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”

“Here’s my clown theory,” Swiftie tweeted, “8+5=13, 1989 is the fifth studio album so the announcement is on 8/5 for a Friday October 13th 1989 release,” they concluded, with clown emoji.
