SZA Declares ‘I don’t Have Anymore Goals’ Career Wise

SZA hit the snooze button on her career after turning all her dreams into reality!

No! The sensational singer did not stop music, but he enjoyed a less stressful phase with no new goals to achieve. He recently admitted to feeling free without wanting more in his career because he has achieved more than he ever imagined.

SZA Is Satisfied After Reaching Her Goals And Gaining The Respect Of Her Peers

For SZA, there is no word greed in her dictionary, as she is quite content with her current level of success in the music industry. The “Kill Bill” singer, born Solana Imani Rowe, explained that she will not compete to reach higher levels after achieving all the goals she set at the beginning of her career.

He dropped the big news in a conversation with Zane Lowe on “Apple Music,” telling the host he’s reached a “f— it” place in his career. According to the 34-year-old, she has lived up to all her expectations with the success of her 2017 debut album “Ctrl.”

“I’m in a space right now where f— with everything on the creative side. The business part is scary, but creatively, it’s like, ‘Well, I don’t have a goal anymore, so I might as well just try at this point,’” SZA explained:

“I don’t have any goals anymore, and that sounds terrible, but career-wise, it’s just like — I keep saying that, nobody believes me, but it’s like you don’t understand. Well, this is my goal.”

The media personality listed everything she has achieved so far: “I’ve already gone platinum; I didn’t think I would get platinum. I sold a bunch of records. I got to meet Stevie Wonder, I got to meet Beyoncé and work with her, I got to meet Frank Ocean.” The list continues with SZA stating:

“My mom came, and my dad came to all these great countries to see me perform. I have a sold out show. I got to headline the festival. Like, what more could I want? I was nominated for Grammys. I won a Grammy. I’m done, for me, personally. So this, whatever this past is, is more than I wanted, thought, dreamed.”

When Lowe said it must be liberating to not have the restrictions of expectations, the singer agreed but explained her hard work was to earn the respect of her peers. “I never did it for the bar; I do it out of respect. So for me, a bar like a compliment is nice, but um, I’m really doing it out of respect to show that no, I’m smart because I didn’t finish school,” he admitted.

Because he doesn’t have a degree to prove his intelligence, the 34-year-old says he uses his songwriting skills to convince others of his intelligence. “The respect is more important to me than the praise,” he continued. “That’s an achievement that deserves respect among my peers, because I’m not like everybody else ‘Oh you’re respected because you sell crazy records.’”
