Swift’s third record famously included a song called “Dear John” which was famously rumored to be about Mayer, whom Swift dated briefly in her late teens.

The song “Could’ve Would’ve Should’ve” from Swift’s latest LP, “Midnights,” is thought to include a reference to their relationship in the song’s bridge.

According to our report, the “Holy Ground” singer told the Minneapolis, Minnesota audience, “I’m 33 years old. I don’t care about anything that happened to me when I was 19. Swift seemed keen to keep the song’s subject quiet in 2010. The “Speak Now” singer discussed the concept of the ‘Dear John’ letter in a post on her website.

“The song ‘Dear John’ is like the last email you ever send to someone you’ve been in a relationship with. Usually, people write this last email to someone and they say everything they want to say to that person, and then they usually don’t send it. I think by putting this song on the album, I refuse to deliver,” he wrote, according to Captial FM.
