Taylor Swift had a special message for her ‘Swiftie’ Instagram followers on Friday.

The 33-year-old “Hey Stephen” singer took to her Insta story a week to a day after the release of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” to share tangible ways they can make a difference.
Swift has taken action by encouraging her fans to get involved with local elections and advocate for their rights; she famously discussed her political stance and choices for local Tennessee elections in 2018 during a scene in the Netflix documentary “Miss. Americana.”
Last October, the “Cardigan” singer continued her efforts to encourage Swifties to vote in the US midterm elections.

She will also use her Instagram stories to inform followers that they can vote early in the midterms, and The Blast delves into Swift’s public history of incorporating politics into her public image.
Swift Supports Various Local And Nationwide Issues
In addition to Swift’s important comments about Tennessee senator Marsha Blackburn featured in “Miss. Americana,” he wrote in a letter to former Tennessee state governor Lamar Alexander in 2019.
Swift supported the passage of The Equality Act at the time. The bill then passed the Senate.
The “Beloved” singer posted her letter to Alexander on Instagram in May. He will urge Swifties to follow his lead and write to their local senators as well.
A few months earlier, in March 2018, Swift revealed her advocacy for the organization March For Our Lives against gun violence in schools.
Swift revealed to her followers that she had donated to the organization, writing, “I made a donation to show my support for the students, for the March of Our Lives campaign, for everyone affected by this tragedy, and to support gun reform. .” (per The Blast)
The Tennessee Young Republicans spoke with The Blast when Swift began supporting Blackburn.
“We’ve seen celebrities support Democrats before. Most Tennessee voters don’t care who celebrities vote for. Tennesseans are concerned about which candidate will give them good jobs, which candidate will improve the education system, which candidate will do the things Tennessee voters need,” the organization said.
The organization added, “We’re glad Taylor Swift is getting involved in politics. Although we may not agree with him on the candidates he supports, we always like to see young people have an opinion because too often young people have been left out of the political cycle.”

Swift continued her efforts to help her fans get involved in politics on Friday, by sharing a candid Instagram photo of her story.
Underneath a photo of herself wearing sunglasses and showing off her early voting sticker, Swift wrote, “Hi Nashville! Early voting for our city officials and several statewide seats begins today. We have the opportunity to choose who will represent us for the next four years…”
He continued, “I voted today and I urge each of you to do the same and make your voice heard…”
The “Ours” singer ended the story by providing a link that allows viewers to find out more information about early voting.
