‘Teen Mom’ Jenelle Evans Breaks Silence On Husband’s Child Abuse Charge: ‘You Can’t Trust Cops’

Jenelle Evans is dealing with the shocking child abuse allegations leveled against her husband, David Eason, involving her son Jace Evans.

As we reported, Eason was charged with misdemeanor child abuse a month after the 14-year-old ran away from home for the third time. Both Evans and Eason are being investigated for child neglect after the incident, but the “Teen Mom” star now insists police mishandled the case.

Jenelle Evans Calls Husband’s Child Abuse Allegations ‘Smear Campaign’

Shortly after news of Eason’s child abuse charges were confirmed, Evans took to his Instagram Story to rant about the development. She puts all the blame on the police department and insists her husband is innocent.

Jenelle Evans and David Eason spotted out shopping in Los AngelesMEGA

“You’d think the Police wouldn’t do a biased police investigation,” he began. “They did not conduct interviews, did not ask for any information from the parents. This looks like a very one-sided situation like every time before.”

The “16 and Pregnant” alum continued, “I trust that detective with all my heart. Forget you can’t trust my stupid cop. I don’t trust anyone around me. Go MIA for a second ✌️.”

The television personality didn’t actually go MIA for a while as she returned to her story an hour after her initial remarks to slam North Carolina’s Columbus County Police for acting shady and pinning it on her husband.

“I believe the Columbus County Sheriff’s Department is the party that carried out the smear campaign against my husband and needs to be held accountable.”

Revealing his interactions with the police, Evans claimed the police told the details of the case to the media, not caring that minors were involved. “Don’t give a f—s. Get the email to prove it,” he claimed. “Open investigations should be kept confidential in all circumstances especially when they involve children.”

Vowing to fight, the reality star concluded, “Let’s go to court. I have been waiting for our day. I feel very violated by the system. Wait until the day you hear the truth … you will beg me not to prosecute.”

According to reports, Child Protective Services (CPS) and North Carolina’s Columbus County Police became involved when Jace slipped out of a home window and ran into the woods in September. It was the third time in a month that the 14-year-old had gone missing.

Jace was first reported missing from home on August 15 after he was seen leaving school around 2:45pm and did not return home. He was soon declared missing by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department but was later found “in a tree behind a school building,” thanks to his location on Snapchat.

A week later Evans reported her son missing, saying she had not been able to contact him for hours. He was later found at a gas station 10 minutes from their home. It also didn’t help that Jace reportedly told his grandmother Barbara Evans that Eason assaulted him.

An excerpt from the police report on the issue allegedly reads, “He [Barbara] advised that he had spoken to him [Jace] early evening when he called from an unknown number and told her about being attacked by David Eason and she ran away and hid.”

The police department and child protective services reportedly have video of the attack involving Jace. The news of Eason’s child abuse charges doesn’t mean the “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” star is completely immune. There is a possibility that Evans will also face charges of his own.

Jenelle Evans Always Claims David Eason’s Innocence

Not surprisingly, Evans promised to fight the police department on Eason’s behalf. She has always maintained that her husband of six years was innocent when both were placed under investigation earlier this month.

In an October 15 TikTok video, she stands next to her man saying, “He [David Eason] is being accused of doing some horrible, horrible thing that isn’t true. I was there, my kids were there, everyone was there. You don’t know about the details.”

She continued, “It makes me so sad for David. Because David is like, he’s just taking all these punches, rolling with it, not saying s–t. I don’t blame him, and I feel so sad for him because my kids adore that guy . My children love that man very much.”
