David Eason, the husband of Jenelle Evans, is reportedly a wanted person after a warrant was issued for his arrest after he was charged with misdemeanor child abuse.
As we reported, Evans and Eason are the subject of an investigation by North Carolina police after the “Teen Mom” star’s 14-year-old son went missing for the third time in a month. The investigation included allegations that Eason injured the child after an argument that left “visible marks” on Jenelle’s son.
Warrant Issued For David Eason’s Arrest After Child Abuse Allegations
According to reports, a warrant has already been filed in North Carolina for Eason’s arrest on child abuse charges involving his stepson Jace Evans. A court clerk confirmed the warrant, though it was unclear if he had to turn himself in.

“I don’t see anything that has been served. But there is a warrant for his arrest,” a clerk told The US Sun. Eason was charged earlier this week after shocking allegations about his treatment of the teenager came to light.
Columbus County North Carolina Police and Child Protective Services (CPS) became involved when Jace went missing from home in September. He reportedly slipped out the window and ran into the woods. When he was later found, the boy reportedly had “visible marks” on his arms and neck.
It’s unclear if the sign was related to the incident, but a police report filed on the incident alleges the teenager often told her grandmother Barbara Evans about being physically assaulted by her stepfather. “He [Barbara] advised that he had spoken to him [Jace] early evening when he called from an unknown number and told her about being attacked by David Eason and she ran away and hid,” the police report excerpt reads.
According to a report, the police department and child protective services have video of the attack involving Jace. The teenager’s safety has become a bit of a concern because he has been reported missing three times in just one month. The 14-year-old started disappearing on August 15 after she was seen leaving school around 2:45pm and did not return home.
He was later found “in a tree behind a school building” because of his location on Snapchat. The second time, Jenelle herself reported her son missing, claiming she couldn’t be reached for hours. He was later found at a gas station 10 minutes from their home.
The “16 and Pregnant” star is not completely free of accusations even though her husband is. He is still under investigation and could be charged.

Jenelle Breaks Silence on Unbelievable Police Claims Amid Abuse Allegations
Following the news of Eason’s child abuse charges, Jenelle, who has always insisted that her partner of six years is a good father to her child, took to Instagram to slam the authorities.
The reality star claimed that the police department conducted a biased investigation. “You would think the Police wouldn’t do a biased police investigation,” he wrote on social media. “They did not conduct interviews, did not ask for any information from the parents. This looks like a very one-sided situation like every time before.”
He continued, “I trust that detective with all my heart. Forget you can’t trust my stupid cop. I don’t trust anyone around me. Go MIA for a moment ✌️.” In a follow-up rebuke, the television personality vowed to deal with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Department over their actions.
“I believe the Columbus County Sheriff’s Department is the one who ran the smear campaign against my husband and needs to be held accountable,” she said. Jenelle slammed the department for leaking information about the case to the media, saying they “Don’t give a f—s” and she has “the emails to prove it.
“Open investigations should be kept confidential in all circumstances especially when it involves children,” he lamented. Nevertheless, the 31-year-old plans to fight back. He finished his words. wrote:
Let’s go to court. I have been waiting for our day. I feel very violated by the system. Wait until the day you hear the truth … you will beg me not to prosecute.”

Jenelle shares Jace with her high school boyfriend, Andrew Lewis. She only got full custody of the boy in March after he lived with his grandmother for 10 years.
“My mother and I decided together to give full custody back to me because we want to rebuild our relationship as mother and daughter,” she wrote in a statement at the time.
The case is ongoing.
