“Teen Mom” star Leah Messer and her fiance Jaylan Mobley have called it quits just months after they announced their engagement in August.
The two got engaged in late August during a trip to Costa Rica. At the time, Mobley said, “Two souls, one heart ❤️ It’s official!! 💍 The 4L!! I love you to the end of the world! ❤️.”
However, the Instagram post was deleted along with several other posts documenting their time together as the couple went their separate ways.

In an Instagram post shared on Tuesday, October 11, the reality star shared a black-and-white photo of the two holding hands while walking down the aisle as she announced that they had decided to walk their separate ways.
“Although the past year has been very exciting for both of us, we have realized that it is best to walk our separate paths,” the couple said in a joint statement. “We are so grateful for the lessons, growth, and memories we have in this relationship. Many of you have watched our love story, and we hope you will continue to watch our story as we move forward as friends.”
“We will forever have love and respect for each other, and we ask for privacy as we refocus and move on from this chapter together,” they concluded, signing off the post, “Thank you, Leah and Jaylan.”
Comments have been disabled on the post, though many fans are sure to be disappointed to see the couple split, especially since Mobley gave promise rings to all three of his daughters from previous relationships after their engagement.

After their engagement, Messer told PEOPLE that Mobley had a “good relationship” with her children from a past relationship. He said that his daughters look up to him “as a role model” and see him “as another father figure in their lives.”
After the couple got engaged, they broke the news to their daughter with a picnic. At the ceremony, Mobley gave each girl a promise ring. Messer had posted a photo of the event on Instagram, but it has since been removed.
In the deleted post, Messer wrote, “When I dream of this moment, this is what I imagine. Slow unconditional love, not just for me, but also for my three daughters who I value most in life.
He added, “Thank you for everything you have done for us. @jaylan_mobley We love you to the ends of the earth. It’s only 4L US♾💒🍾🥂.” Mobley commented on the post, writing, “My Forever Promises 💍💍💍❤️.”

According to his LinkedIn page, Mobley served in the West Virginia Army National Guard as a First Lieutenant and Deputy Team Leader of the Defense Cyber Operations Element.
He previously attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, before earning his associate’s degree at Georgia Military College. In February, gave a special speech to the 143rd Cadet Corps, which was later shared on Instagram.
Messer shared his own post on Instagram, though it has since been deleted. In the original post, he had written, “First time seeing this side of you and I love you more. It’s inspiring to watch you talk about failure & success. We appreciate you in many ways & I know many others do too. Keep telling stories.👏🏼 Keep doing what you’re doing. Proud of you!”

The two first made their relationship Instagram official in September 2021, sharing a photo of the two of them together on the bench.
As reported by PEOPLE, Messer was married to Jeremy Calvert from 2012 to 2015. The two share a daughter, Adalynn Faith. Messer was also married to Corey Simms from 2010 to 2011. They share two twin daughters, Aliannah Hope and Aleeah Grace.
While fans were disappointed that their relationship failed, many wished both Leah Messer and Jaylan Mobley the best in their future endeavors.
