A Texas school bus driver has been suspended after nearly running over three children crossing the street shortly after they were dropped off on Wednesday.
The close call was caught on camera and witnessed by terrified parents — including a mother who was heard screaming for her daughter to get out of the way as the bus rolled toward her and a boy, according to footage obtained by Fox 4.
“What the hell!” screams the distraught mother in the clip.
The third child, who was about to step in front of the bus, walked backwards to avoid the threat.
“I wasn’t 20 yards from him, and I wouldn’t have been able to help him,” Matt McCormick, who picked up his son after school, told the local outlet.
“No time for anyone to be on the other side of the road. nothing. Goodbye.”
McCormick’s son, 6, is dressed in green in the video.
“When I found out he was fine, I was more truly upset than anything else that someone could let that happen,” he added.

The boy’s father filed a complaint with the Denton Independent School District, north of Dallas, the same day and attached the video.
She claims the district responded by email with basic information about the incident but failed to provide any explanation as to why the driver nearly hit her son.
“Thankfully, nothing happened to him, nothing happened to the other kids, everyone is fine other than the emotional stress,” the father said, adding that he was unhappy with how the Denton Independent School District handled the incident .
The driver has been suspended, according to the TV station, while the district continues to investigate.
“They don’t know what they’re doing when it comes to hiring drivers,” McCormick said.
