The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, has a lot to smile about as he was recently promoted to a new role.
According to reports, Harry has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors for the African Parks Network, South Africa.
This is the non-profit organization that Harry joined in 2016 and has worked tirelessly for, hence his prestigious new position as a board member.

Years of hard work and dedication have paid off for the beloved Duke of Sussex.
It was recently announced in a bio update that Prince Harry has been “promoted” to the position of board member of the African Garden Network in South Africa, per People magazine.
After joining the non-profit conservation group in 2016, Harry became president the following year and has since overseen several conservation projects across Africa.
His biography reads, “Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex is a veteran humanitarian, military, mental health advocate, and environmentalist. The Duke has dedicated his life’s work to advancing causes he is passionate about, and which bring lasting change to people and places.
It continued, “For more than two decades, he has taken a deep personal interest in front-line conservation projects across Africa that work to protect the region’s natural resources and wildlife, for the benefit of local communities.”
The updated bio section highlights his new role, stating, “In 2023, after serving six years as President, he was promoted to an officially appointed member of the Board of Directors, the organization’s governing body.”

In the latest version of Harry’s biography, the organization made sure to highlight the prince’s important position as a family man by concluding with a closing statement referring to his wife and two children.
The bio now reads, “Prince Harry lives in California with his wife Meghan, and their two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.” This change occurred because Harry was not yet married to Meghan Markle or had children when he joined the organization in 2016.

Harry first worked with the African Parks Network to help launch an elephant conservation project in Malawi. The following year, the duke became president of the organization and launched several other programs while in office.
In August 2022, Harry co-hosted a group of US officials, philanthropists and conservationists on a tour of wildlife and nature conservation areas managed by African Parks in Mozambique, Zambia and Rwanda.
He once paid tribute to his grandfather in a video marking Earth Day

Harry has a long history of conservation work in Africa, much of which he has done through his partnership with African Parks.
In a 2021 video clip marking Earth Day, the duke took the opportunity to pay tribute to his grandfather, Prince Philip, who recently died and was known as a “champion” of conservation.
Harry said at the time, “As we now begin to move towards an era of global recovery and regeneration, it is important that we continue to see the strengthening and protection of biodiversity, not just as a value we hold, but as a way of life. .”
He continued, following Daily Mail, “On this Earth Day, I reflect on generations of conservation champions, including my late grandfather, and feel proud and energized to continue to do my part in this legacy. This year in particular, I join the African Parks team and communities around the world in a shared dedication to the environment and our collective well-being.”
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Strained Relationship With The Royal Family

Since stepping down as senior royal with his wife, Meghan, Harry has had a particularly strained relationship with his father, King Charles III, and other members of the royal family.
The situation worsened after Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which they discussed alleged mistreatment by the royal family.

Now, there are rumors that Meghan also has plans to write a memoir, but the Duchess of Sussex has yet to make an official announcement.
