The Postal Service & Death Cab For Cutie Are Going On Tour!

My dear, one day you will find out Death Cab For Cutie and The Postal Service are going on tour!

2023 marks two decades since Ben Gibbard’s highly profitable year when he released two career-defining albums. One as a member of The Postal Service, and another with Death Cab For Cutie!

The former group released the LP “Give Up” featuring the Postal Service hit songs “The District Sleeps Alone Tonight” and “Such Great Heights.”

Gibbard, now 46, was joined by Rilo Kiley’s Jenny Lewis and Dntel’s Jimmy Tamborello on The Postal Service. Tattle Tale’s Jen Wood will complete the supergroup with her contribution on backing vocals.

The latter band will probably be the most memorable aspect of Gibbard’s career. Death Cab For Cutie will release their seminal album “Transalanticism” in October.

Emotional fans will soon have the opportunity to celebrate two milestones in Gibbard’s discography as the two bands embark on a tour!

The tour’s official website offers fans the option to sign up for presale ticket sales in the cities of their choice; they will also have the option to sign up for reminders related to general sales.

There will be codes available for presale tickets! According to Consequence, the code word will be “CHEER” in capital letters.

For fans looking to rock some tour-themed merchandise on the night of their respective tour stops, official merchandise stores are available through the tour’s official website.

Ben Gibbard Reflects On One Of The Most Profitable Years Of His Career

Gibbard is both on board to celebrate the milestone years of production of “Give Up” and “Transalanticism”!

“I know for a fact that I’m not going to have another year like 2003,” Gibbard began by stating, “The Postal Service record came out, ‘Transalanticism’ came out. Both of those records are going to be on my tombstone, and I’m fine with that. I’ve never had a more creatively inspired year,” he concluded. (via Consequences)

Death Cab For Cutie released their latest LP, “Asphalt Meadows,” in September.
