Drama, You Say?
MEGA
Some of the famous faces attached to the movie are believed to have clashed during filming, and after the recent premiere of “Don’t Worry Darling’s”, some fans thought that the alleged drama still exists among the cast!
One of the first notable examples referring to frustration on set came after the film’s director Olivia Wilde discussed actor Shia LeBeouf’s former involvement with “Don’t Worry Darling” in a Variety profile; LeBeouf was originally set to play the role of Styles but was later replaced by the “Music For A Sushi Restaurant” singer after exiting the film.
“I say this as someone who greatly admires his work,” Wilde told the publication, “his process does not fit the ethos I demand in my productions. He has a process that, in some ways, seems to require combative energy, and I personally do not believe it is suitable for the best performance…”
Variety also stated that LeBeouf had been fired from the production.
LeBeouf later emailed Variety and denied he had been fired, and maintained he left the film of his own free will. He has also included screenshots of text messages he and Wilde exchanged two years ago to give a more complete picture. (per The Blast)
Pugh and Wilde were also rumored to be fighting each other behind the scenes.
According to one of our reports covering their alleged feud, Pugh and Wilde are said to be at odds over Wilde’s romance with Styles which began while she was still set to tie the knot with Jason Sudeikis.
Pugh allegedly took issue with the relationship.
Wilde also spoke about reports alleging trouble between him and “Don’t Worry Darling’s” lead actor in the aforementioned Variety profile.
“There’s a lot of stuff out there that for the most part I don’t pay attention to,” he said, and then revealed additional speculation about Pugh and Styles’ pay for the film was “very disappointing to him”.
Styles and Chris Pine were also brought into the rumor mill after footage from the Venice, Italy premiere surfaced and made the rounds on Twitter where many fans believed Styles had spat on his co-star’s shoes upon returning to his seat in the audience.
The situation was dubbed ‘spitgate 2022’ by Twitter users.
