Nina Dobrev, born Nina Kamenova Dobreva, shows off her toned physique while surfing at the Kelly Slater Wave Co. Surfing Farm. She showed perfect form as she bent over the board, letting her wet dark hair fall loosely over one shoulder. Her eyes were fixed on her front as she rode the waves, showing off her summer tan in a pink “Barbie” swimsuit.
“Does this mean I’ve earned the right to use the chaka emoji now?” she asked in the caption of this Instagram post as “The Vampire Diaries” fans went wild over the picture. “From Vampire Diaries to Vampire Surfing,” one fan joked as The Vampire Diaries actress Kayla Ewell wrote, “Um. yes. In another shot, “The Out-Laws” actress gave fans another look at her flowery pink swimsuit as she posed sitting on her surfboard. “NEENS IN HIS SURFING ERA,” said one fan. “TEAR UP!” other followers agree. “You’re the best, Neens!” the third fan spurts.

Fans are loving Nina Dobrev and Shaun White’s relationship, especially after the two rang in the new year in Antarctica. From Costa Rica to Santorini, Greece, the two have traveled the world together, crossing one tropical destination off their bucket list at a time.
The two met at an event hosted by motivational speaker Tony Robbins in 2019 and moved in together at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown in 2020. The couple have been going strong ever since and have no problem sharing their PDA-filled photos on social media.

In April 2023, Shaun discussed a possible proposal for People magazine. “We’re just enjoying our time together now. No pressure,” he said at the time. “But I told him, I was like, ‘Look, after the Olympics, I finally have the freedom to do whatever. And let’s have fun and be together and support each other.’” She went on to add, “But you never know. We’ll see what happens.”
In October 2021, the five-time Olympian gushed about her “beautiful relationship” with the “Love Hard” actress, saying, “Nina is amazing. What an influence she has had on my life.” She added, “Not only does he run his own show, his own world, the companies he’s involved with, the things he produces, all these things happen. In October 2022, the retired Olympic snowboarder was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the US Ski and Snowboard Gala. At the event, E! News asked him if he had plans to pop the question anytime soon. He vaguely replied, “Time will tell.” He went on to say, “Things are great with me and Nina, and I’m really excited to focus on our relationship and my relationship with the rest of my friends and family.”
