Amidst Taylor Swift’s recent concert and Travis Kelce’s supporting presence, there has been speculation about the longevity of their romance.
The latest people to express their concerns about the couple’s ability to maintain their relationship are “The View” co-hosts Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin. Unfortunately, despite Swift’s well-meaning intentions, the women quickly came under fire for pointing out what they considered Kelce’s “red flags.”
Sara Haines & Sunny Hostin Fired For Confronting Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Romance
In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal Magazine, Kelce made a statement about his relationship with Swift. The comments, it turns out, didn’t sit well with Hostin, who said during Tuesday’s episode of “The View,” “Some of the things he said raised some red flags for me,” before adding:
“He said, ‘The biggest thing for me: Make sure I don’t say anything that will push Taylor away.’ What is he hiding? For me, I want to know the good, the bad and the bad ahead.”
After making a joke about how she feels when her husband, Emmanuel Hostin, shows every part of her, the 55-year-old claimed that by walking on eggshells, Kelce “sent his representative so that he wouldn’t offend her. no matter what.” And for him, that doesn’t count as “real life” where “people sometimes offend you and they upset you.”
For Haines, the Kansas City Chiefs star’s most important “red flag” was that he admitted he was considering retirement. He emphasized that the professional athlete has publicly stated he “thinks about it endlessly more than anyone can imagine.”

Continuing, the 46-year-old explained, “She’s great in the world of football, and then you go into Taylor Swift land, and I think if you think about the next chapter, this is going to be beautiful.” Yang Hostin agreed saying, “It’s a very comfortable next chapter.”
The two women’s take then pushed their co-host, Joy Behar, for an explanation, and she asked, “What are you saying? He wants to retire to live off of it?” In response, Haines confirmed, “No, he has millions, but he’s, like, on the podcast, he loves comedy. I think he’s looking for a second act.”
Although Behar, who called Kelce an “id—” in a previous episode of the ABC show, defended him, the damage was already done and ‘Swifties’ were angry. Taking to the reply of the conversation, contained in a videos shared in X, one person recorded:
“A missed opportunity. Here’s a guy praising his girlfriend for her brains, something I’m sure @sunny you want for your daughter. But you’re all using the old sexist comparison “but the ex was beautiful.”! So? You want to teach girls that beauty is everything? @Alyssafarah.”
“What I find completely irrelevant, and disrespectful to women in general, is Sunny stating how hot her ex is. Obviously the exterior isn’t enough to keep the relationship going. He’s talking about the substance (intelligence/humor) in this relationship that really forgot,” the second viewer pointed out.
Mark Haines, the third Swiftie emphasized, “He talked about retirement referring to all the surgeries & injuries he suffered while playing football. Put it in the right context!” while the fourth signifies Hostin, write, “why did he bring up his ex? He is his ex for a reason. I find it less tasty. They are both beautiful women.”

The fifth X user chime in“This woman’s opinion is garbage because they don’t know s— because obviously they didn’t read the article but I love the replay.”
A ‘The View’ Panelist Was Also Slammed For Coming After Kelce
The reaction seemed similar to the one Behar received last week when she called Kelce an “id—” after several of her old social media posts containing misogynistic comments resurfaced online.
According to The Blast, the 81-year-old has read several since-deleted messages, including one that made disparaging remarks about women associated with the Clippers and Lakers.
“d— scissor girls must be s— girls that don’t make the lakers girls team, because they’re all ugly,” the statement said. He later stated, “He is illiterate to the core. He is obsessed with good looking girls; that’s his thing,” before reading two more posts.
After Behar finished reading the disparaging statement, Whoopi Goldberg posed a question wondering why she cares what she thinks. To that, the comedian replied, “I’m a Swiftie, and I like her because she’s getting young people to vote, so I don’t want her to get stuck with this id-t.”
“Joy Behar embarrasses people every day like it’s her job. Old hag joy behar stfu,” one critic lashed out, while another reprimanded, “WTF yall…she made a shameful comment as a young man and here you guys are doing the same d— thing like grown up— women.”
