In a message uploaded to his Instagram Stories on Saturday night, The Weeknd apologized to his fans for having to cancel the concert and promised to make up for it with a comeback performance.
“My voice went out during the first song and I was devastated,” he wrote. “It felt like leaving and my heart fell. I deeply apologize to my fans here. I promise I will make up for it with a new date.”

According to Page Six, “The Hills” singer’s voice came out shortly after performing her third song.
“You’ll get your money back,” he told the 70,000 fans packed inside SoFi Stadium. “But I’ll put on a real performance soon for you.”

The 32-year-old singer, born Abel Tesfaye, stopped the show and walked off the stage while performing “Can’t Feel My Face.”
He eventually returned to the stage to address the confusion that engulfed the crowd. He reportedly told them that he would not be able to perform “the concert that I want to give you now.”

“I personally want to apologize to all of you,” he told the disappointed audience. “I don’t know what happened when I screamed, but I lost my voice.”
“This is killing me. I don’t want to stop the show. But I can’t give you the concert that I want to give you right now,” he said. “I’ll make sure everyone’s good… But I want to come out and apologize in person, instead of tweeting or Instagram or anything.”
“But I want you all to know that I can’t give you what I want to give you,” he continued. “I’m sorry. I love you all. Thank you so much.”

The chart-topper didn’t say whether or not she’s been sick recently to emphasize her voice, but she’s playing back-to-back shows at SoFi Stadium as part of the “After Hours Till Dawn Tour.”
Fans in Toronto, Canada, can’t wait to see if he will be able to perform next on September 22.

Unfortunately, The Weeknd has had trouble touring due to stadium constraints and demands for more shows. Many obstacles caused him to push back the start date of his entire tour by several months.
On October 21, the singer wrote, “Due to arena constraints and the demand for more shows, I want to do something bigger and special for those of you who need a stadium.”
