The couple, who have been in the spotlight for their appearances on the reality television show “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” appear to be working to resolve their differences after they both withdrew their initial filings for divorce in July. However, sources said TMZ that the estranged couple is still fighting even if it doesn’t seem like it from the outside.
According to insiders, Biermann and Zolciak had been fighting in private, and things escalated and became “brutal.” Their financial strain is said to have affected their relationship as they have argued over money issues, blaming each other for their financial woes.
“They’ve become very petty about who doesn’t pay the bills. They’re counting down seconds to pennies,” a source told the news outlet.

The ongoing saga between the former Atlanta Falcons outside linebacker and the “Don’t Tardy” star has taken another turn, as legal documents obtained by Explosion revealed that she is getting primary custody of their four minor children, 9-year-old twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren, as well as sons Kash Kade, 10, and Kroy Jagger, 11.
Court records also show that he declared their 12-year union “irretrievably broken,” demanding “exclusive, temporary and permanent use and possession of the marital residence” in Alpharetta.
Biermann also wants Zolciak to pay child support on a “temporary and permanent basis for minor child support” and “be entitled to an award of reasonable and necessary attorneys’ fees and litigation expenses.”
“Applicant (Biermann) indicated that Respondent (Zolciak) should be restrained and prohibited from coming to the conjugal residence after he vacates,” the court document reads.
Zolciak has yet to publicly respond to Biermann’s specific request.

This surprising development comes after a period of apparent reconciliation following their decision to withdraw their divorce filing in July, which they have attributed to their commitment to making things work for the sake of their children.
Zolciak made her filing in May, stating that their marriage was “irretrievable without hope of reconciliation,” demanding primary physical custody of their children and joint legal custody while also seeking spousal support and the restoration of her maiden name at the time.
The two’s divorce fights escalated to the point where they began accusing each other of various things, from kidnapping and drug use around their children to excessive gambling.

However, sources confirm People magazine that they have decided not to give up on their marriage and pursue what is best for their children.
“They made up and called off the divorce,” the source shared. “They’re trying to make it work for kids.”
At the time, Zolciak filed a “dismissal without prejudice answer and counterclaim” in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia, although she retained the right to file again, while Biermann’s attorney, Marlys Bergstrom told Entertainment Tonight that the couple “rejected the divorce action and reconciled.”
