Amid the United States’ efforts to be more transparent with UFO knowledge, the state of Maryland has emerged as a hotbed of alleged sightings.
There have been nearly 2,000 unidentified sightings of anomalous phenomena in the state – home to Andrews Air Force Base and the US Naval Academy in Annapolis – according to data from the National UFO Reporting Center.
“It makes me happy that so many people are coming forward now. We’re getting more reports than just six months or a year ago,” said NUFORC director Peter Davenport of the 1,923 witnesses who disclosed.
“I don’t know what the future holds for us, but I am encouraged that more people are coming forward and that the government is recognizing the UFO phenomenon as worthy of their attention.”

An eyewitness, Greg Facelo of the northeastern city of Port Deposit, recalled the inexplicable sight he saw in the sky recently to CBS Baltimore.
“It crosses the sky this way and only lasts for maybe 30 to 45 seconds,” he told the channel.
“If it was a shooting star, a comet, a natural occurrence, I wouldn’t bother sending it to you, but these things appear to have been made by some form of intelligent life,” he said. “It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen before … It breaks, then it flows out and just fades into the sky.”

While Facelo can’t explain exactly what’s going on, his bet is on something that isn’t human.
“Anything that goes through the sky at a much lower rate than an airplane. It could be extraterrestrial life,” he suggested. “I do not know. It doesn’t look natural.”
In addition to Maryland, the latest data from the Department of Defense’s newly announced UAP reporting portal shows that many Atlantic nations south of the coast — even former President Jimmy Carter may have seen it in Georgia — are hot spots to watch, such as Japan and the Middle East. east.

Typically, UAP witnesses describe round objects between 1 and 4 meters in size, according to the All Domain Anomaly Resolution Office — the official name of the Pentagon’s tracking program.
