Tiger Woods has pulled out of The Masters amid injury woes.
Although the professional golfer struggled all weekend after making one shot, he was hit by wet and cold conditions as he began his third round, eventually falling to the bottom of the leaderboard at +9. His social media announcement of his withdrawal from the rest of the tournament has drawn support from his fans.
Tiger Woods Bows Out of Masters Due to Injury
Woods continues to face challenges in his golf career after he was seen limping during the final round on Saturday, before the match was suspended due to weather conditions. On Sunday, The Masters, via their official Twitter handle, announced:
“Due to injury, @TigerWoods has officially withdrawn from the Masters after completing seven holes in his third round.”
The World Golf Hall of Fame inductee followed up with his own announcement, telling his 6.6 million followers that he was “disappointed” to have to forfeit “This morning for re-exacerbating my plantar fasciitis.”

Support for the 47-year-old sportsman was immediately felt as thousands liked and retweeted the message, with one reply, “Rest, champion! Get well soon and thanks for being the legend you are. You have pushed me to be the best. I hope to see you back on the course soon!”
Second fan clapping hands Woods for his “dedication to the sport,” and the third demanded that while the rest of the game won’t be the same without him, his health is more important. Fourth supporter called ten-time PGA Tour money winner, one of the best golfers ever,” concluded with a wish for his speedy recovery.
Amidst the show of affection for the beloved athlete, it is worth noting that Grace Charis did not send him congratulations. The OnlyFans model became the talk of the town after she used a photo showing her in a white jumpsuit with a plunging neckline to show her interest in caddying for Woods last week.
Charis, who has earned a rep for playing golf without a bra, added a golf club and green face mask to her outfit, according to The Blast. As expected, the comments section of the Instagram post was filled with innuendo about the previous Vardon Cup winner’s cheating during his marriage to Elin Nordegren.
The father of two was accused of — and admitted to — cheating on his wife with multiple women, including Rachel Uchitel, a nightclub manager. “Easy hole in one for Tiger,” one Instagram user joked, while another added, “There’s nothing Tiger likes more.”
The post has also received over 120k likes since it was shared six days ago.

More than a year ago, The Blast reported the moment Woods was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame following his tumultuous career. The event, which aired on the Golf Channel, saw him attend with his mother, Kultida, his longtime girlfriend, Erica Herman, and his children — daughter Sam Alexis and son Charlie Axel.
The event was held ahead of the Players Championship at the Florida Museum, with Sam getting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to introduce his dad as the honorary recipient of the highly sought-after title. The 14-year-old touched on her father’s resilience when she suffered a traumatic accident during her weak period. In his words:
“We don’t know if you will come home with two legs or not. Now, not only are you going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, but you’re standing here on your own two feet. Here’s why you deserve this. You are a fighter. You have defied the odds every time.”
The accident in question was a car accident in February 2022, in which he suffered open fractures of the tibia and fibula of his right leg. After months of intensive rehabilitation while resting, he began moving in a wheelchair and then on crutches. Shortly after the accident, Woods opened up about his golfing future, stating:
“I think the realistic thing is to play a one-day tour—never full-time, again—but pick and choose, just like Mr. [Ben] Hogan did.”
The incident also made him realize that he can enjoy his life to the fullest without participating in tournaments and competitions.
