When TikToker Emily Feret got a scam email from someone claiming to be Drew Barrymore, she had no idea what fun was in store for her. Instead of just deleting the email and forgetting about it, he replied several times and created a funny video about the experience for TikTok. Her humorous take on the ordeal landed her on “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
In one of the emails back and forth from the scammers, they asked Feret for $250 to meet Barrymore in person. The ferret replied, “Drew, I’m sorry. To meet me, I actually need $250.” Well, Barrymore actually sent her $250 and will be flying her to New York City to be on the show in the near future.

In a recent video shared on Instagram and TikTok, Feret explains what he did with the $250 Barrymore sent him. “Hi! I’m the girl that Drew Barrymore sent $250 to, and no, I’m not kidding,” she began her video. “He actually sent me $250 in gift cards, and I had this great platform, so I wanted to talk about Feed My Starving Children.”

Feret pays for it with the money Barrymore sends him by helping this organization with donations. “I strongly believe that what you get, you will return to the world tenfold,” he said. “So we will donate. I wish I had 10 ringgit but this will do good.”
He then explained that he didn’t make this video to get new followers or more views, he just wanted to share this organization’s information with his followers. “I’m just grateful that I just had the opportunity to do it,” he said. “So thank you Drew.”
Feret’s TikTok followers took to the comments to talk about the organization and about Feret’s amazing experience. “I love that you’re using this sudden attention for *good*! You are amazing ❤️,” one follower wrote. “Have volunteered in the Aurora area before,” said another.

After a surprise appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show” via Zoom call, Feret will soon fly to New York City to actually be on the show and finally meet Barrymore in person. After the two had a little chat on the show about the email and how it came about, Barrymore told Feret about the show.
“I don’t know yet when, but they say it will happen in the next few months,” Feret said exclusively Explosion. “I have never been to New York. It’s probably going to be a mom trip and I’m really excited to see places I’ve never been and meet Drew Barrymore.”
