Todd & Julie Chrisley’s Fraud Case Takes Another Homeless Turn!

Life is coming fast for Todd & Julie Chrisley, and their situation is quickly going from bad to worse!

The reality-TV couple was sentenced Monday in Atlanta federal court to a fraud conviction, years after they were charged with fraud-related crimes. Unfortunately, serving their time isn’t the only thing they have to worry about.

The Chrisley family bagged different jail terms, with patriarch Todd serving a heavier sentence than 12 years. Instead, his wife was sentenced to 7 years in prison, and both will also serve 16 months of probation.

In addition, the couple may have to come up with creative ways to pay the $17.2 million in damages ordered by Judge Eleanor Ross of the United States District Court in Atlanta over their $36 million fraud scheme.

Some insiders claim that the easiest way for the “Chrisley Knows Best” star to cash out is to let go of their two Nashville-based homes. The mansion will allegedly bring in about $9 million and will help meet their obligations. An insider told the New York Post, saying:

“They will have to give up many things, including their homes, sadly. They won’t be able to afford it, but their main concern now is their children, especially their youngest.”

As noted, Chrisley’s 25-year-old daughter, Savannah, has taken custody of their “youngest son,” Grayson. Unfortunately, the 16-year-old was recently hospitalized after an accident on a Tennessee interstate.

Todd & Julie Chrisley were convicted of tax evasion and fraudMEGA

Such episodes of pain and regret have plagued the family since 2019 when Todd and Julie were indicted on 11 counts of tax evasion, conspiracy and bank and wire fraud. It was not until June this year that they were convicted after prosecutors proved that the couple used loans to finance their lifestyle of buying expensive cars and going on luxury holidays.

For that, Julie submits false documents to the bank every time she applies for a loan. In addition, he presented false bank statements and credit reports when they wanted to rent a house in California.

The Blast added that things got worse when the parents of three founded a production company called 7C’s Productions, which functioned as a loan business for the money they raised through their popular reality series.

The couple also managed to hide money from the IRS by either failing to file tax returns on time – this happened for three years – or falsifying numbers when taxes were paid. The Chrisleys are refusing to go down without a fight, as they have indicated their intention to appeal their collective 19-year prison sentences.

Todd & Julie face a challenging time when Savannah takes custody of Grayson and Chloe, their grandchildren. The ten-year-old girl is the daughter of Todd’s son, Kyle, from a previous relationship.

According to The Blast, that decision seems to be the best option, because the family’s patriarch and matriarch will not be able to raise anyone properly for decades. Speaking about it during an episode of the “Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley” podcast, Savannah admitted how “difficult” it was to sit in the courtroom. In his words:

“I know that the short term is going to be very difficult, and I might go home without both of my parents. That’s the chance, that’s the possibility, and that’s my new normal. I’m coming home on Tuesday, and I have custody of a year-old 16 years old, I have custody of a 10-year-old, and we spent our first Thanksgiving, not as a family.”

The reality star later added that she will support her parents and their “innocence” because she knows what they “have done and haven’t done.” After announcing that the family would “continue to fight and file an appeal,” the podcast host admitted, “my heart also hurts for the children of people who may be guilty of something.”

Savannah concludes that she has to be a “positive role model” to Chloe and Grayson and that no matter how hard things get, she has to “show up.”
