He wrote, “Suddenly, frustration erupted from me. I was, I realized now, completely sober for the first time in ages and I had an incredible sense of clarity and anger.”

Felton described screaming his lungs out at the sky.

“I began to shout to God, to the sky, to everyone and no one, full of anger for what happened to me, for the situation in which I found myself,” he wrote. “I screamed, at the top of my lungs, at the sky and the ocean. I screamed until I let it all out, and I couldn’t scream anymore.”

The actor best known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the film ‘HP’ explains how he met “three kings” who eventually helped save his life.

The bartender gave the actor a place to stay and a shoulder to cry on.

Before this wild escape story, Felton had been given an intervention by his manager. He believes he’s walking into his manager’s office to discuss a movie deal, but quickly realizes he’s running into interference.

Felton was read a letter by those close to him including his girlfriend, Jade Olivia.

Much to the actor’s surprise, the letter that resonated with him the most was from his lawyer.

“My lawyer, whom I rarely see face to face, speaks honestly,” he wrote. “’Tom,’ he said, ‘I don’t know you very well, but you seem like a good man. What I want to tell you is that this is the seventeenth intervention that I have done in my career. Eleven of them are now dead. Don’t be the twelfth.’”

Felton moved to Hollywood to pursue his acting career.

The drink got out of hand

“My world became one of crazy opportunities, elaborate nights out and — there’s no other way to put it — free s–t. I enjoyed it. Jade enjoyed it,” he explained in his memoirs. “For a while, it was a lot of fun. But only for a moment. The luster soon began to tarnish. I never knew I wanted this kind of life. And as time passed, an uncomfortable truth quietly dawned on me: I didn’t want to … I was in a lucky and privileged position. But there was something inauthentic about the life I was living.”

Felton misses genuine conversations with people who don’t know who he is.

“I miss my mom,” Felton admitted.

Before moving to Hollywood, Felton rarely touched alcohol, but that quickly changed.

He became a frequent customer at Barney’s Beanery. It’s an old school chain of bars and restaurants in Los Angeles.

Felton “always drank a few pints a day before sunset, and a shot of whiskey to go with each of them…”

His alcohol consumption hampered his professionalism on set.

“It got to the point where I thought nothing of drinking while I was working. I would show up unprepared, not the professional I wanted to be. Alcohol, however, is not the problem. That is the symptom,” he explained.

After escaping from a Malibu rehab facility, Felton entered a smaller, less luxurious establishment.

Unfortunately, he was kicked out after being found in the ladies room.

“On several occasions, the therapist caught me playing canood [a young woman] around the side of the building as we pretended to put out a trash can,” he detailed in his memoir. “One evening I committed the great sin of sneaking into the girl’s house and entering her room. I honestly don’t have anything particularly sinister in mind. He was quiet at dinner and I wanted to make sure he was okay.”

His life changed for a short period before he checked himself back into rehab.

Felton knew he was on the road to recovery when he could confess. himself that he needs help.
