Tori Spelling has given an update on her eldest son’s well-being after surgery.
Shortly after he posted a photo of Liam Aaron McDermott in a hospital bed before his leg surgery, the 50-year-old told his many followers and fans that his recovery had begun. However, before that, he praised the podiatrist responsible for the “success” of the procedure, Dr. Brooke Gifford.

Hours after Liam underwent his surgery, Spelling took to social media to share a photo of himself and a doctor, stating that “My man is doing his best.” While her son wore a white hospital gown and beanie, the doctor, who leaned in close for the shots, wore a blue collared shirt with a stethoscope around his neck.
The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum identified the location of the procedure and thanked the doctors involved throughout the image. He wrote, “surgery was a success thanks to Dr. Gifford our amazing foot & ankle surgeon and his team at Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital.”
Spelling revealed that Liam receives visits from his pediatrician, who he refers to as “family.” In a subsequent Instagram Story, she shared an image of the 16-year-old’s bandaged leg, noting, “Now the recovery process begins. It’s going to be a long journey, but we’re taking it day by day.”
She also expressed her gratitude to those who checked in on Liam, mentioning that their support made her feel “so loved” and that it “means a lot to her.” As for what happened to her son, the author of “Spelling It As It” explained that the teenager had fallen down the stairs at home, causing pain and being unable to move.

After six weeks of “no healing” the family opted for leg surgery, which involved removing the fractured accessory navicular bone in his right leg and reattaching the tendon to his main bone using a metal hook rod.
Spelling opened up about her and the famous fashion designer’s anxiety in her initial update on Liam’s condition. Alongside a photo of the youngster covered in a white hospital sheet with her phone resting next to her IV-injected arm, she wrote, “My first baby waiting for leg surgery. Not sure who’s more nervous, him or mama.”
She continued her message at the bottom of the Instagram Story photo, writing a sweet text for her son that read, “Proud of your bravery. And things can get better after this.”
The procedure comes months after her younger sister, Stella Doreen, faced her own health problems. In January, Spelling appeared on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live,” offering an update on the 15-year-old, who was briefly hospitalized.
At the time, she mentioned that Stella was “not great” and had been diagnosed with hemiplegic migraines which apparently ran in her ex-husband Dean McDermott’s family.
Spelling Keeps Her Kids Amidst Estranged Couple’s Marriage Confessions
Last month, Spelling allegedly responded to shocking revelations from her ex-husband about the factors that led to the end of their 18-year marriage. In case you missed it, during the insightful conversation, the father of seven took responsibility for being the cause of the dispute.
According to the Canadian personality, his struggle with substance abuse contributed significantly to the rift in the former couple’s marriage. McDermott recounts being drunk during a heated argument with his ex-wife, which led to an emotional but since-deleted announcement of their separation.
When details of the interview went live, an insider confirmed, “Tori is a little hurt and upset by the type of interview Dean has been doing recently… She realizes that Dean is talking about her relatively, but she feels protective of her kids.”
The source claims that the mother of five is trying not to be swayed by McDermott’s confession, especially for her daughter, Stella, who is old enough to understand the situation. The informant further stated:
“Tori is trying to stay positive and keep things going for her family and not let Dean’s words affect her too much.”
Besides Stella and Liam, the estranged lovers also share Hattie Margaret, Finn Davey, and Beau Dean.
