The mother-of-five revealed she was “nervous” about taking on the role of host, but channeled her inner Ryan Seacrest.

“I was away from my kids for almost a month, which was brutal,” Spelling admitted. “I hate being away from my kids and that’s the longest I’ve ever been away. It was right when their school started so it was very difficult to pull them out.

Luckily, McDermott was there to fulfill his father’s duties.

“Co-parenting, Dean and I definitely have different parenting strategies,” Spelling admits. “I’m kind of like a mother and he’s more procedural. He is really great with timing and planning. I’m not good at that.”

Tori insists their Yin and Yang are what keep their family going.

“You need both to make it work. You really need it to be a complete human being. You need both worlds,” he said.

Spell didn’t have too much time to stop to think about his grief.

“The good thing is that we’re filming for hours and I never have a holiday because it’s filmed in real time so work and don’t have time to focus on how sad I am without them – that’s great,” she said.

The host of the newly minted show said the show is more dramatic than “Love Island.”

“Love At First Lie” Is More Dramatic Than “Love Island”

“The drama happened like anything else, I was there for it and I got to watch the drama play out in a crazy way,” he explained. “You mix people in relationships and money – and people go crazy. There was one moment where there was so much drama going on that security had to be called on stage to break it up – it was crazy.”

Spelling grew up in the spotlight as her father, Aaron Spelling, was a successful TV and film producer.

He is an experienced professional in the entertainment industry.

Her upbringing was very different from the way she raised her five children.

“Growing up. I didn’t know how to express my feelings. I wasn’t good at it,” Tori admitted to the outlet. “I’m a Taurus. I never talk about me. I feel like I keep it all inside and that takes a toll on you, the pressure and the anxiety of keeping things inside. It manifests not only mentally and emotionally, but eventually becomes a physical illness.”

She stated that her children might drag her down for asking them to open up too much about their emotions.

“My kids, they’ll probably say, ‘Oh, mom asks too much about how we feel.’ It’s okay,” he shared. “I always check in and say, ‘Okay, what’s up? What are your concerns? Let’s talk about it.’”

Tori and her kids scan their day after school.

“‘I can’t predict the unknown, but let’s talk about what scenarios could happen and talk about it.’ And when they come home from school, we scan again,” he explained.
