The young man’s name is Brock Trafton and he was lucky enough to find a rather rare card in a tabletop card game. “One Ring,” was discovered in June and is a unique collectible card created for tabletop fantasy games.

What’s so special about this card? It is written in a fictional language created by Tolkien. Initially, Trafton wanted to remain anonymous at first for obvious reasons. “Put it in a safe place,” warned a good friend. A quick Google search will show that the card came in worth about a million dollars.

We here at The Blast will be hiding too! The card later sold for $2.64 million and the Traftons were absolutely amazed that no one would have thought they would enjoy millions of dollars. That only happens on TV, right?

Brook Trafton Had a Hard Time

The lucky guy who held down two jobs and was on his way to one after showing up for several interviews paid $700 for the set of boxes the cards came in. Honestly, Trafton thought he would get over $700 for the card he claimed Heart of the City 24 in Toronto.

He also “didn’t believe it was Post Malone but his people called me and when it got serious, my friend suggested I get a lawyer.” Retail workers and forklift drivers are now saying, “This is for me, you know, just setting myself up for the future, investing in something. And when I feel like I can’t work anymore or maybe I want to try something else, I can.”

Brook Trafton’s Dream To Sell For Pos Malone

Trafton said that he was a fan of the musician and was glad that Post was the one who bought the card from him. He recalled saying if he “could sell this card to anyone, it would be Post Malone. It was like a dream I woke up in the morning,” and here was the opportunity.

He continued. “It’s not a plan to sell it to him, I want to show it to him because I know he will appreciate it as much as I do,” because the Sunflower rapper is a big fan of MTG. He definitely got more than the conversation he left the million club members who should probably quit their jobs and move out immediately.

The world is desperate today, worse than ever.

Brook Trafton Celebrated Online

Trafton shared with CP24 that she’s been struggling recently because earlier this year “her mom passed away from cancer this year so this was a great, happy surprise.” For now, he claims he “will keep his two jobs as a cashier and forklift driver but is excited to see his future now that money is not an obstacle.

“It happened so fast. Like, I can’t tell you [what happened]. It’s amazing,” he said giddily.

He shared on Twitter. “This is my dream come true, meeting @PostMalone and him buying a One Ring card from me was a moment out of a fairytale. @PostMalone @wizards_magic you have changed my life. This kind of thing doesn’t happen to people like me. Forever grateful #mtg #onering.”
