At this point, there is no question that Tory – whose real name is Daystar Peterson – was convicted of firing a gun the night Meg the Stallion was shot in the leg and now that the trial is over and the sentence has taken place, Peterson’s next move will be getting ready to report to prison .
Prosecutors initially asked the judge to give the rapper 13 years in prison. In court, they accused him of re-injuring Megan with social media posts about the case and inciting anger towards her by doing so.
Tory’s lawyers, on the other hand, are hoping that he will basically get a slap on the wrist through probation, and be released from prison to enter a substance abuse program. They argued that the evidence against him was “questionable at best.”
