Looks like Tory Lanez won’t be coming to town anytime soon!
The rapper’s bid for bond has hit a snag, dashing hopes of an early release from prison. The musician, known for his punches and bars, was convicted of a leg shooting incident in 2020 involving Megan Thee Stallion, and the judge’s gavel fell on him in 2022.
Tory Lanez Denies Bond, Remains Behind Bars
The Canadian artist’s request for bond during his appeal has been rejected, meaning he will remain in custody. The star has been trying to stay with his wife and son while awaiting the outcome of his appeal following his conviction in the Stallion shooting.

Although Lanez’s defense emphasized his valid work visa and lack of incentive to return to Canada, the magistrate remained unmoved by their arguments. The 31-year-old’s legal status in the US does nothing in his favor.
Last month, the songwriter received his verdict, a ten-year prison sentence, following charges that could have led to more than two decades behind bars. His conviction included three counts: assault with a semiautomatic weapon, negligent discharge of a firearm, and possession of a loaded and unregistered firearm.
It’s also being reported that the “Say It” artist is navigating a drastically altered existence inside the walls of the Los Angeles County Jail from her previous lavish lifestyle.
Gone are the days of recording studios and lavish parties, the “They Don’t Know” singer’s daily rhythm defined by the stark contrast of his prison cell. It is reported that he is subject to a strict schedule, with only a few hours given outside his confinement.
Law enforcement sources revealed that Lanez is currently housed in an administrative segregation unit, awaiting transfer to prison for his upcoming ten-year sentence.
The ASU serves as a designated area for inmates who cannot be safely housed with others. Despite this, the “Daystar” artists were given access to essential items such as groceries and toiletries from the commissary.
However, Lanez’s time outside his cell is also strictly controlled. He was allotted only two hours alone each day, and any outdoor recreation was limited to only three hours a week, giving short breaks in the open air.

Not one thing you do or say breaks me.” Megan continued, getting a standing ovation from the audience when the video ended, insisting, “Not a single thing you say or do to those beautiful people breaks them.”
