Rapper Tory Lanez’s mugshot has been released after he was transferred to state prison following his conviction in the shooting of fellow hip-hop artist Megan Thee Stallion.
Lanez was found guilty of shooting Megan and sentenced to 10 years in prison by a judge. His hopes of getting out of prison were recently dashed after a judge rejected his appeal, citing past court order violations, violent felony convictions and non-US citizenship as reasons.

Tory Lanez was recently transferred to a state prison and had to pose for a new mugshot. The rapper, who looks very unhappy in the photo, will have to live life in his new prison.
He reportedly checked himself in on Tuesday at North Kern State Prison in Delano, California, which is about 145 miles from Los Angeles.
As previously reported by The Blast, Lanes was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion in the leg.
Before sentencing, prosecutors had asked the judge to sentence the rapper to 13 years in prison. In court, he was accused of re-traumatizing Megan with several social media posts regarding the case and inciting online anger towards her by doing so.
Instead, the rapper’s attorney hopes he’ll get a slap on the wrist through probation and then be released from prison to enter a substance abuse program. His lawyers argued that the evidence against him was “questionable at best.”
