Travis Scott takes no chances when it comes to Houston! The sensational rapper is avoiding the site of a deadly mob that turned his Astroworld music festival into a horror movie.
The Houston-born rapper hasn’t been the same since the 2021 tragedy left him battling a lawsuit and trying to settle with a grieving family. After a hiatus of almost two years, the entertainer is finally back on the road.
The 32-year-old recently announced a nationwide tour in celebration of his new album “Utopia.” However, fans were shocked to learn that the media personality’s hometown had been excluded from the list of cities he planned to visit.
Travis Scott Will Hit 28 Locations On Upcoming Tour Without Stopping In Houston
The creator of “SICKO MODE” promoted the highly anticipated “Utopia Circus Maximus Tour” in his latest Instagram update. The record label shared unique cover art for the upcoming project along with a list of its performance locations and their expected dates.

The tour brochure featured a painting of a nude woman adorned with a pearl necklace and green stud earrings. The lifeless figure flaunts red lips and matching nails, over-the-top glam for someone about to eat a hotdog.
After showcasing art by George Condo, the next slide featured the cover along with a list of dates and cities for the “Utopia Circus Maximus Tour.” The schedule shows the 32-year-old will begin his nationwide stint on October 11 in Charlotte and wrap up the concert in Toronto on December 29.
The list includes 26 stops in the US and 2 stops in Canada. Although he will be visiting Texas on the tour, the “SAY NO” artist’s shows will be in Austin and Dallas instead of Houston.
“Utopia tour. On sale Thursday. 10 am local time. Travisscott.com,” the owner of the Cactus Jack Foundation announced in the caption. The post received over a million likes and several comments from fans, who couldn’t believe the rapper skipped his hometown.
Many speculated media personalities excluded Houston because of the Astroworld tragedy. One commenter wailed: “He can’t go home,” while another quipped: “‘No Houston’ Bro wants to make it through the tour alive.”
“Bro, afraid to go to Houston? Lol,” a third mocked Scott, with more social media users expressing disappointment at the exclusion. “NO HOUSTON ARE YOU CRQZY?!!!?!!?” A fan shouted. “Bro, it’s crazy HOUSTON isn’t there…” one heartbroken follower wrote.
“No Houston makes me cry,” one claimed while another called out the Grammy nominee for not caring about her hometown anymore. “Man, you don’t love us at home in H,” the individual declared.
One fan found the situation perfect for a funny pun, referencing the iconic phrase of Apollo 13. “Houston?…we have a problem,” the social media user chimed in. Meanwhile, another commenter doubted their vision, writing: “My eyes must be tripping. WHERE IS HOUSTON.”
Teen Choice Award Winner Reaches Undisclosed Settlement With Astroworld Victim’s Family
Weeks before surprising fans with his Houston exception, the father of two made headlines for reaching a financial settlement with one of the victims of the Astroworld tragedy. The family of 14-year-old John Hilgert is suing the entertainer over the teenager’s death at his music festival.
The deceased loved one is one of the grieving families who filed a lawsuit against the “Love Galore” rapper following a crowd crush incident in 2021. The Hilgert brothers reportedly settled their complaint against Scott for an undisclosed amount in monetary compensation.
The settlement makes the family the third group to settle their Astroworld lawsuit. Before the teenager’s loved ones, the families of Axel Acosta and Brianna Rodriguez ended their grievances with the media personality. Although the 32-year-old is making progress in Astroworld after that, there is still a long way to go.
Several civil suits have been filed against the organizers of the Astroworld festival and the record label by thousands of disgruntled concertgoers. However, it is unclear when the embattled couple will be free from this legal battle.

Scott was involved in a lawsuit after his performance at NRG Park in Houston on November 5, 2021. Before the massive brawl that broke out during the BET Award-winning performance, there was a crowd control issue that organizers failed to address.
Also, the “BUTTERFLY EFFECT” artist was accused of continuing his show despite people being injured and killed in the crowd. This allegation caused the father of two children to receive backlash for not finishing the concert early.
