The NBA star shared a quote that speaks volumes about parenting and teaching your child to accept the people who love them for who they are.
A quote from @adventurebookofe reads, “I grew up hearing ‘they’re family, you don’t have to like them but you do have to love them’ and I promise you I won’t teach my kids the same. If they treat you badly, if they make you feel like an outsider, or if they make you question your worth, you don’t have to like them or love them. You love people who love you. You put your energy into those who love you back. There’s no ‘because they’re blood you’ll love’ here.”

It’s kind of funny that he shared this quote to his Instagram story considering he’s the father of his third child, Theo, who he shares with Maralee Nichols.
It’s Ironic TT Gives Parenting Advice When She Abandons Theo
In December, Explosion reports that the former Chicago Bulls player is required to pay Nichols retroactive child support since he failed to do so during the first year of Theo’s life.
Until late 2022, TT allegedly did not pay child support and allegedly did not meet his son directly.
After a brief court appearance, he had to pay $9,500 a month in child support.
Tristan got the fitness trainer pregnant in March 2021 while in a committed relationship with Khloe Kardashian.

The professional athlete admitted his cheating through a note on his Instagram Story.
“Khloe, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the hurt and humiliation I put you through. You don’t deserve the way I’ve treated you all this time. My actions are definitely not in line with the way I look at you. I respect and love you very much. It doesn’t matter what you think. Again, I am very sorry,” he wrote.

Tristan reportedly paid Nichols’ legal fees and of course, he allowed her to have full custody of Theo. This climax comes after the two have been in a legal battle for more than a year related to paternity and support.
Tristan also has a son, Prince Thompson, with his ex-girlfriend, Jordan Craig, and he has two children with Khloe.
The former couple welcomed their second child, a son, via surrogate in 2022. News of their baby boy broke in July 2022, and was confirmed by a representative of the Good American co-founder.
