Gunfire rang out at the discount retailer again Sunday afternoon in Alaska when a suspect opened fire at a Walmart in South Anchorage, killing a man and a woman.
A firearm was recovered at the scene, although as of Monday, the shooter was still at large, the Anchorage Police Department said in an update posted to Facebook.

“That happened right outside the main entrance. It’s just crazy,” Sean Keating, an APD officer and scene team leader, told Alaska Public Media.
The Walmart store — located less than half a mile from the Dimond Center, Alaska’s largest mall — was closed following the incident, and officials helped shoppers and employees through the parking lot to their cars.
Police have released few other details about the fatal shooting. The Post has requested comment from the Anchorage Police Department.
Just 24 hours later, a gunman walked into an Ohio Walmart and opened fire on shoppers, injuring four people before turning the gun on himself.
Police shared in a Facebook update Monday night that the victim was transported to a local hospital, “and their condition is unknown at this time.”
The shooter – who has yet to be identified – was reportedly armed with an assault rifle, witnesses told 5 News Online.

Walmart told The Post that it was “saddened by what happened at our Beavercreek, Ohio, store,” which is located just outside of Dayton.
“This remains an evolving situation, and we are working closely with investigators on the scene,” the Arkansas-based retailer added.
Walmart did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the shooting.
The Post has requested comment from the Beavercreek Police Department and the discount chain, which has more than 4,600 locations in the US and 5,200 worldwide.
