Taking to Instagram from what appeared to be her residence, Perry reacted to tWitch’s death, saying she was shocked that the celebrity DJ took her own life.

Admitting that he had only met tWitch a few times, Perry said that at the time, the father of three seemed “full of life”, which made it difficult to understand that he was going through so much emotional turmoil that ultimately led to his death.

Perry then spoke about the time when she came close to ending her life in hopes that it would inspire those going through “hard times” and “struggling.”

Multihyphenate said, per Many people, “I just want to take you back to the time in my life when I tried to kill myself, several times, because it was so dark I didn’t think it would get any better. I’ve endured so much pain, so much abuse, sexual abuse, it’s all so hard for me to go on that I think the only way to make this better is to end my life.”

‘I Must Have Missed The Best Part Of My Life’

Perry then asked her listeners to call someone if they were going through a tough time, adding that she would post a number anyone could use to seek professional help.

She added, “I know it may seem hopeless, but please reach out to someone … reach out, ask for help if you’re going through anything that emotionally gets you to a place where you think you want to end your life. “

Reflecting on those dark moments, Perry pours his thoughts on what he took from the experience. He points out that although it may not look the same to others, sometimes “pain” is actually “buying in” and this is how he needs to learn to see it in order to get through it.

He said, “If I give up, if I quit, I won’t see the better part of my life. I buy something…that’s how I can rationalize it, to be able to move through the pain, knowing that if I can get through this moment, there must be something better.”

Perry later revealed that those dark days are long gone and that she lives a happy life “full of joy and love.” He then urged others not to give up, adding that he was a “living witness” that things could get better.
