As previously reported, she filed for divorce in May of this year, following their official separation, and at the time, she cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. The former couple’s divorce was quite long, mainly due to their difficulties in sharing property and dispensation of spousal support.

Despite having signed a prenuptial agreement before their wedding, the “One Day At A Time” actress’ ex-husband doesn’t believe it’s legal and is asking for $50,000 in monthly spousal support.

Luckily, she got all the divorce papers signed in the end, and she announced the good news with a video showing her at the airport on her way to see her son, Wolfgang.

Bertinelli said in the clip, “My lawyer just called. All the papers have been signed. They will be filed.” And he proudly calls that date, Tuesday, November 22, “the second best day of my life.”
