Singer Britney Spears was allegedly slapped by a member of Victor Wembanyama’s security team on Wednesday night, while she was dining at the Catch restaurant at the ARIA Hotel in Las Vegas with her husband, Sam Asghari, and two other individuals.
Initial reports stated that the 41-year-old pop star had walked up to the NBA star from behind with the intention of asking for a photo because he was a huge fan. Unfortunately, the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs mistook him for an overzealous fan and allegedly slapped him in the face, causing him to fall.
The “Hold Me Closer” singer filed a police report, though the extent of her injuries are unknown at this time. Although initial reports said that he tapped her right back/shoulder, Victor himself now claims that Britney “cummed” him from behind; however, he didn’t know it was her at the time.

The San Antonio Spurs player, who was drafted last month, explained his side of the story to KENS 5 reporter Nate Ryan shortly after practice Thursday afternoon. He claims that Britney didn’t just pat him on the shoulder, as was initially reported. He said that Britney “cum on me from behind” which caused security to intervene.
“I didn’t see what happened, because I was walking straight and we were told, ‘Don’t stop,'” explained Wembanyama. “But the person grabbed me from behind – not by my shoulder, he grabbed me from behind – so I just knew security pushed him.”
He continued that there were many people in the hallway outside the restaurant calling his name and trying to get his attention for a photo, but he was told not to stop and keep walking to avoid an incident. Little did he know, however, that the woman who allegedly “groped” him from behind was actually Britney Spears.

He said that he knew the security forces pushed him away, but admitted, “I don’t know by force. But security refused. I didn’t stop to look so I could go in and have a nice dinner.” Although the security guard reportedly apologized to Britney later in the night, Victor claimed that he didn’t know he had been touched by the pop star until “hours later” because he never turned around to see her face.
“At first I was like, ‘No, you’re kidding,'” he said. “But, yeah, it turns out it’s Britney Spears.” Given his response, it seems clear that Britney never got the photo she wanted from the star athlete. Although she has yet to address the incident on Instagram, her husband, Iranian actor Sam Asghari, issued a statement slamming the “cowards” who attacked his wife.

On Thursday afternoon, the former personal trainer took to Instagram to issue a statement defending his wife, who has yet to comment publicly on the incident.
“I am against violence of any kind, especially without justification in self-defense or others who cannot defend themselves,” Sam began. “Self-defense is inevitable, but the womanhood of any woman, especially my wife, cannot be disputed. I consider my reaction weak considering what happened, and I hope the man learns a lesson and changes his disregard for women. Thank you for the support.”

A few minutes later, he followed it up with a second slide, which read, “The violent behavior of an out of control security guard should not overshadow the achievements of a great young man on the rise @wemby,” he continued. “The blame should fall on the cowards who did this, the people who hired them without proper vetting, and the systemic culture that ignores women in sports and entertainment.”
“I can’t imagine a scenario where an unarmed female fan showing any kind of excitement or appreciation for a celebrity would result in her being physically attacked, much less punched in the face for patting someone on the shoulder,” he concluded. “Necessary change has to come for the summit, and I look forward to that change.”
