Vijaya Chamundeswari is an Indian fitness expert and daughter of veteran South Indian actors Gemini Ganesan and Savitri. She is the sister of famous Bollywood actress Rekha.

He went to Andhra Mahila Sabha, Kodaikanal Presentation Convent School, and Vidhyodaya High School in Chennai. She went to Ethiraj College for Women to pursue her studies in English Literature. He is a fitness specialist at GG Hospital, Chennai.

He has a younger brother named Satish Ganesan.

- Due to problems in her mother’s personal life, her mother, Savitri took to alcohol, which affected her greatly. One day, he was in a coma for 19 months and finally, he died at the age of 46 on December 26, 1981.
- In an Interview, Vijaya revealed that she never watched any of her mother’s movies, because she cried in most of them, and it made her uncomfortable. However, after his mother’s death, he started watching her films.

He also claimed that the film was made entirely based on Vijaya’s statements, and that the filmmakers should have considered his father’s friends and acquaintances in the industry before portraying his role. In response to her comments, Vijaya said that she respected her sister’s views; because they come from the same family.
