He attended Chandigarh’s St Xavier’s School and went to DAV College to further his studies. He is inclined to act since his childhood. At the age of 8, he started his acting career as a child artist in the Punjabi TV series “Saude Dillan De.” After that, she participated in a dance show judged by Aamir Khan and while she was performing, Wamiqa was offered a role in Jab We Met. He, later, did small roles in Hindi films, Love Aaj Kal and Bittoo Boss. Wamiqa has also received training in classical dance and is a trained Kathak Dancer.

Career
Wamiqa started her acting career as a lead actress in 2013 with the Punjabi film “Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22.” In the same year, she made her acting debut in Hindi Films by playing the role of Tanisha in the film “Sixteen.” After that, he made his acting debut in Tamil films with Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam; debuted in a Telugu film with Bhale Manchi Roju; and debuted in Malayalam films with “Godha.”

In 2017, she featured in the Punjabi song “Angreji Wali Madam” and gained widespread popularity with her performance. He has also appeared in Punjabi films like ” Ishq Brandy, Ishq Haazir Hai, and Nikka Zaildar.
