Was Mike Caussin Brave Enough To Dive Into Ex Jana Kramer’s Explosive Memoir?

Jana Kramer’s explosive memoir about the dissolution of her marriage to Mike Caussin isn’t setting off any alarms for the former NFL player!

The former couple have made headlines for their tumultuous relationship, featuring numerous allegations of infidelity on the part of the athlete. Although his ex-wife has released both good and bad details about their relationship, the Springfield native doesn’t see it all in a storybook negative light.

Mike Caussin Says He Trusts Ex-Wife Jana Kramer’s Intentions With Her Memoir

Kramer’s new autobiography, “The Next Chapter,” is ready for fans to read and digest the behind-the-scenes moments that led to her split from Caussin. However, the memoir doesn’t focus on the former football tight end as it explores the “One Tree Hill” cast’s journey to find peace after a rocky breakup.

After the book’s release, the country music singer invited her former lover on the iHeart Media podcast “Whine Down with Jana Kramer” to discuss her feelings about the written publication. The first part of the three-part interview series captures the ex-lovers voicing the same beliefs in their post-divorce relationship.

Caussin surprised listeners with his support for Kramer’s memoir, noting that he was initially “skeptical” when his ex-wife announced the project last fall. However, the two’s friendship has grown to the point where she has no doubts about his intentions with the book.

The former NFL star insisted that her faith in Kramer was so strong she refused to grab a copy of “The Next Chapter” because she understood the written work was a “Dancing With The Stars” alumni’s perspective on their marriage and not her own journey. The 36-year-old said:

“Jana asked me now that it’s published, ‘Before it comes out, do you want to read it?’ and I told him, ‘No,’ because I trust our relationship more now than ever.”

The former Jacksonville Jaguars player went on to say, “For me, I thought, ‘Why read it and repeat — in my own work and travel — repeat some of these things emotionally and internally and feel any way for Jana?’ I believe in Jana — the meaning and the narrative.”

Despite supporting the “Why Ya Wanna” singer’s memoir, Caussin admitted that there may be some parts of the book that left a bitter taste in his mouth. However, he reiterated that the words “The Next Chapter” were not directed at him but reflected Kramer’s journey. In the words of the media personality:

“I know where his heart is, and anything I know doesn’t necessarily have to do with me anymore. That’s just his story. I support him, I’m proud of him, I’m happy for him, but whatever is said about our marriage, that’s what happened.”

Additionally, the former couple agreed that Kramer’s memoir would have changed if he had written the book two years earlier. However, the ex-lovers overcome their differences to achieve their new relationship full of trust.

The “I Got the Boy” singer expressed gratitude for what the couple had, saying: “We have a new relationship. Our marriage is dead, but we have a new relationship. This is a better relationship.”

Jana Kramer Previously Claimed Her Book Wasn’t About Mike Caussin

The country music star previously raved about her blossoming friendship with Caussin ahead of the publication of her memoir. During a Q&A session with fans on her Instagram Story, the mother of two clarified that her book is not about her ex-husband.

Instead, “The Next Chapter” serves as a powerful reminder to divorcees and those going through challenging times that the rainbow will appear after the storm. When asked about his greatest memory, the entertainer wrote:

“That you are not alone in your struggles with self-worth, self-love, loneliness, feelings of not being good enough, and battles with anxiety… AND… that there is HOPE and HEALING on the other side.”

When other fans wondered why Caussin was in a three-part interview about the memoir even though Kramer claimed the book wasn’t about him, the TV personality gave a lengthy explanation of the two’s relationship.

According to the ACM Award winner, the father of two is on “@whinedownpodcast because even though this book isn’t about him, we’ve changed a lot, and that’s why it needs to be highlighted. Not a story of the past.”

Kramer insists that “The Next Chapter” is not about any of his exes but a reflection on his personal journey, specifically his process of self-improvement. “Some stories only play part of the evolution to healing and growth,” the 39-year-old concluded her message.
