Wendy Willams’ Best Friend Claims The Former TV Host Was Left Without Food By Her Legal Guardian

Wendy Williams’ best friend, Regina Shell, has accused the ailing TV host’s legal guardian of neglecting her duties.

She claimed that the legal guardian, who was named Sabrina Morrissey, often left Williams without food. This situation reportedly prompted him to send food to Willams across the country.

Shell also slammed recent reports that claimed Williams suffered from frontotemporal dementia and primary progressive aphasia.

According to Daily MailWilliams’ close friend, Shell, recently spoke out against the former show host’s treatment under her legal guardianship.

Shell claimed that Morrisey blocked Williams’ access to his money, meaning the TV personality would go without food for hours as he waited for his order to be approved.

“When I was in New York and staying with Wendy for the summer, I noticed … she didn’t have access to her money. Every time he has to do anything he has to pay for, he has to go through a custodian,” Shell said during his appearance Monday on Chris Cuomo’s NewsNation series “Cuomo.”

He added, “And he would call to order his breakfast at 7:30 in the morning with the caretaker, and he would take the order, but the order wouldn’t show up until sometimes noon. So Wendy won’t have any food.”

Unable to see his friend stuck without food, Shell reportedly delivered food to Willams when he returned to his base.

“When I got back to LA, I had to send his food from Los Angeles to New York for a delivery service because he didn’t get….” he said. “That’s what worries me because [Williams] told me he had no food.”

Shell added that Williams’ publicist is also helping to ensure the show’s former host doesn’t starve.

He further said, “[Me] and her publicist, who also lives in LA, we both went back and forth delivering food to Wendy because she didn’t have access to food.”

In addition to Shell, Williams’ sister, Wanda Finnie, and her documentary producer, Mark Ford, have expressed displeasure with Williams’ legal guardianship. They both suggested that the TV presenter be placed with the family.

Meanwhile, Williams’ care team has revealed that the daytime talk show legend suffers from dementia and aphasia, the same condition reported by Hollywood star Bruce Willis.

“Wendy would not have received confirmation of this diagnosis had it not been for the diligence of her current care team, which she chose, and the extraordinary work of the specialists at Weill Cornell Medicine. Receiving the diagnosis has allowed Wendy to receive the medical care she needs,” a statement from her representative read, per USA Today.

While such an illness is expected to keep Williams from actively going about her daily activities, a follow-up statement from her rep reveals that’s not the case for the TV legend.

They claim he is still “capable of doing many things for himself,” including choosing “members of his care team.” They also say that he lit up statements about his diagnosis.

Why Wendy Williams’ Best Friend Doesn’t Believe TV Host Has Dementia

In his interview, Shell questioned the care team’s diagnosis, saying he had yet to see the official report from the doctor.

“You know, I’ve heard [her] team – and we don’t know who that team is – and from Kevin and his nephew, Travis, but no doctor has really confirmed this diagnosis,” Shell said.

However, he went on to say that it was plausible that Williams did have the disease, adding that his doubts could be due to his closeness to the 59-year-old.

“Maybe I’m in denial because I’m so close to the issue,” Shell continued. “In reflection, I see potential behavior [from] such a diagnosis, but I do not want to believe that he is in, at this point, cannot be produced. That is not my opinion.”

Although there is no official word on how Williams’ dementia and aphasia occurred, his son, Kevin Hunter Jr., has claimed that it was “alcohol-induced.”
