TV personality Wendy Williams seems to be looking to regain her health before she tries to make a comeback with her new podcast.
The former host of “The Wendy Williams Show,” 58, reportedly checked into a health facility to get help managing her “overall health issues.”

The former radio jock entered the health facility to seek help for “overall health issues,” as PEOPLE reports.
A press release from her podcast states, “She is taking some time off to focus on her health and wellness as she prepares for a big comeback for the next stage of her career with The Wendy Experience Podcast.”
The message went on to say, “Ms. Williams is being treated by a team of some of the best doctors in the world. We ask for your prayers and best wishes at this time.”

His health concerns are no stranger to his fans. Her health issues had previously prevented her from returning to “The Wendy Williams Show,” which led to several guest hosts taking over the show. Wendy did not return for the final episode, which was hosted by Sherri Shepherd instead.
Sherri was such a fan favorite that it was later announced that the 54-year-old TV personality would be given her own show, “Sherri,” to replace “The Wendy Williams Show” after more than a decade on the air.

In February, Wendy Williams tested positive for a breakthrough case of COVID-19 and suffered other health complications from Graves’ disease.
At the time, her representative, Howard Bragman, issued a statement saying that Wendy “understands why this decision was made from a business standpoint,” adding, “She has been assured by Debmar-Mercury that her health will reach a certain point where she can be host again and if it’s his desire to host again that he’ll be back on TV at that time.”

The following month, Wendy made an appearance on Good Morning America to reassure her concerned fans that she was “absolutely” “sane” after her health scare.
“When people want to control their account, they say anything, including something crazy like that about me,” he said in March, adding that “he’s in great health. And I actually have a couple of appointments.”
“You know, I’m 57 years old now and I have the mind and body of a 25-year-old man,” he added.

She captioned the photo, “LOADING…” to tease her major comeback, which many of her fans feel is imminent.

Although a statement released by her podcast said that Wendy was seeking treatment for “overall health issues,” Page Six reported that Wendy was actually seeking help for a substance abuse problem. One source noted that his addiction had “become worse,” adding, “He went from wine to straight vodka.”
At this time, it is not known where Wendy is seeking treatment, although she has previously sought help from health facilities in Long Island City and Florida.

“They sat in on meetings with her entire family, including her mother who is now deceased, and would not sign off on a rehabilitation effort that would help Wendy also recover and be alive and sober,” he alleged.
