Twitter is abuzz over rumors that rapper Asap Rocky is cheating on baby-to-be Rihanna with a shoe designer. On April 14th a social media influencer Louis Pisano started the rumor on his Twitter. He tweeted that Rihanna dropped “Pretty Flacko” after the rapper allegedly cheated on her with fashion designer Amina.
The tweet read, “Rihanna & ASAP Rocky have broken up. Rihanna broke up with him after he caught her cheating with shoe designer Amina Muaddi”. The influencer made another tweet claiming ASAP was cheating diamond singer during Paris Fashion Week at the end of February. But things “apparently hit the fan at Craig in Los Angeles.”
Additionally, Louis also shared a screenshot from Deux Moi’s Instagram post that reportedly featured a fan-sent photo of Rihanna and ASAP having dinner behind Craig’s back in March. A source contacted Deux who revealed that the pair were seen crying before exiting the establishment’s back door.
Did Rihanna Catch Smoke Rocky Cheating With Amina Muaddi?
Louis Pisano followed it up with a series of tweets one of which claimed that ASAP Rocky and Amina had known each other for some time. They do collaborative work together and they are the “best outing shoes” of 2020. They were featured in Vogue in December 2020.
“For me, it’s important that the first collaboration I do is something special and close to my heart.” Amina spoke about the collaboration with ASAP. “I wanted to do it with someone who shared my values and my perspective on creativity and design. Rocky doesn’t compromise in his work or anything he does; he’s a perfectionist just like me.”
The article further states that they have been friends for years, running in the same circles of musicians, artists, and designers. Talking about their friendship, Amina said, “Already so many years we know each other; it is only natural that one day it will lead to something like this.”
Although ideas have flowed between the two since they met, the strange year of 2020 helped push their musings into reality. “Everything happens when it’s supposed to happen,” he said. “It’s a natural time for us.”
He further continued, “Even though we come from different parts of the world and we have different backgrounds, we have a very similar aesthetic.”
Meanwhile ASAP also spoke to Vogue and shared, “I know what I like and don’t like in fashion, [and] I love what he did with the shoes. Amina has an aesthetic and a constant flow, generally, you know, I want to make sure that whatever we do it bridges the gap between the two of us, and it moves cohesively. It was easy to work with Amina.”
He further added, “Knowing how passionate he is about his own brand, and knowing everything he puts into it, it was impossible to join this collaboration, as I already have experience and am familiar with his work. And [she was familiar with] my aesthetic too. We admire each other’s style.”
According to the article, Amina has also designed a range for Rihanna’s Fenty collection. According to the Guardian, it was Jahleel Weaver, Rihanna’s man on earth for all things fashion, who brought Rihanna and Muaddi together. Rihanna in the flesh is “very hot and very sassy,” says Muaddi. “If I design shoes, I want Rihanna to want to wear them.”
Jahleel contacted Amina to buy shoes for Rihanna after they found her online which led to the collaboration.
But, the big question is whether the viral rumor can be trusted?
News of the alleged cheating was first addressed by Kurrco AKA in a tweet, “Rihanna & ASAP Rocky have supposedly broken up Apparently Rihanna broke up with him after he caught her cheating with Fenty shoe designer Amina Muaddi.”
However, there is no visual evidence to support the tweet claiming ASAP cheated on Rihanna. Rihanna who used to follow Louis, stopped following him. But, on the other hand, Amina still follows Rihanna and Rihanna still follows ASAP. All this implies that it is all just a rumor and the three still have a pleasant relationship with each other except for the influence of social media.
