Debra took her two daughters from their father on June 5, 2005, claiming to have a surprise for them. According to reports, both girls were very happy to visit and spend time with their mother. Unaware of their mother’s evil plans, she takes them to an abandoned farmhouse just off Interstate 35.
Once everyone was inside, Jeter pulled out a knife and attacked Kiersten first, who bravely yelled for her sister to run. But Kelsey’s mother quickly catches up, and Kiersten is stabbed in the back while trying to protect her younger sister from a violent attack.
Unfortunately for the two young ladies, Debra is no match for them, and she brutally slices Kelsey’s neck. He then slits the injured Kiersten’s throat as well. But she is still alive and asks her mother to ask for help, but she does not, despite the fact that she is a registered nurse.
Terrible 911 Call
Jeter dialed 911 after completing the murder and informed the dispatcher that he had just killed his children. He went on to say that one of them was dead, but the other wanted to be rescued and needed emergency services.
While on the phone, Jeter can be heard reassuring the injured Kiersten and pleading with the operator not to shoot her because she doesn’t have a gun. Deputies came to find Debra with her hands up and the murder weapon on the roof of a neighbor’s vehicle. He was taken into custody and placed on a suicide watch at the Hill County Law Enforcement Center immediately.

The mother of two was charged with murder and attempted murder, and her bond was set at $1.5 million by the court. In May 2010, he pleaded guilty to the charges and accepted a plea deal that allowed him to serve life in prison without the possibility of parole.
