Derek Hough, who is thrilled to have his sister back in the ballroom as a new co-host, recently admitted he wasn’t “surprised” when the ABC reality show decided to let Tyra Banks go.

Speaking about his sister taking over as host, Derek Hough has no doubts that she is “the right choice”.

“She’s a great host,” he continued to say of his sister. “You know, we hosted a Disney special together and he was great. He’s also a great dancer and singer and everything, but … he’s part of the show and he knows the show and he’s part of the show. [DWTS] family.”
