On Monday evening, Sony Pictures Television revealed that Ryan Seacrest will take over hosting duties for Pat Sajak.

“I am honored to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,” Seacrest said in a statement on Instagram. “I can say, along with the rest of America, it has been a privilege and a pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for 40 unprecedented years, making us smile every night and feel comfortable with them.
