Wife charged after driving ‘recklessly’ for 7 miles with husband clinging to hood of her car

A Missouri woman faces felony charges after allegedly driving “recklessly at varying speeds” for more than seven miles with her husband clinging to the hood of her car for dear life.

After an argument turned physical on Thursday, Stephanie Boyd, 38, allegedly drove away from her Vinita Park home with her 31-year-old partner holding onto the hood of her car.

Although his partner seemed to think he would stop driving if he was in the car, Boyd “left the residence with the victim still on the hood of the vehicle,” according to a Berkeley Police Department report obtained by The Smoking Gun.

Boyd drove more than seven miles “recklessly at different speeds” before heading onto Interstate 70, heading for St. Louis International Airport. Louis Lambert.

He sped along the route for 4.6 miles before exiting near the airport and continuing his drive on local roads.

Police allege he also drove through a construction zone with the victim on the hood of the car.

Eventually, an officer spotted the vehicle along Airport Road and attempted to pull Boyd over.

Boyd led police on a half-mile chase, driving with her husband in the car as police followed with their lights flashing.
