Will Smith Reveals His Favorite Moment On The Set Of ‘Emancipation’

Will Smith shares some of the best things he experienced while filming his latest project, “Emancipation.”

Smith, who faced a public backlash following his 2022 Oscar debacle, appears to be enjoying his Hollywood comeback with the Antoine Fuqua-directed action thriller. He recently shared a clip of a reflective moment he had during his days on set with his fans, who immediately understood the message he was trying to convey.

In an Instagram reel, Smith is seen sitting on a chair in the middle of a forest, quietly enjoying the beautiful scenery in front of him while taking a break from filming. The “King Richard” star, dressed in his character’s costume and holding an umbrella over his head, began:

“This is my favorite moment [sic] this movie so far. I like rain. I love how it makes everything stop,” as the camera pans to show the audience the trees in the forest.

After a moment of silence, Smith continued, “It’s beautiful. I want to look for a character. In the middle of all the hell, he just finds a moment of God’s beauty in nature and realizes that the problem is man. The problem is in the human heart and not in God’s world. God’s world is actually beautiful.”

“Many wonderful moments for all of us to welcome and celebrate! Love every single one!” Canadian actor Steven Ogg commented in response. English author Jay Shetty chimed in, “Roger Miller said “some people feel the rain, others just get wet.” Love your thoughts,” and recording artist Jahzel Dotel chimed in, “love how the rain makes everything stop.”

One fan had another motive, writing, “Yes, I have to watch this movie because even if you enjoy the rain you look like you. [sic] have been through a lot and pain in your eyes. So I know you play the #+}> character. can not [wait] to see you on the big screen.”

Almost two weeks ago, The Blast reported that ‘The Fresh Prince’ dropped a vivid photo of realistic-looking art depicted on his upper body. In the picture, the 54-year-old is shirtless with one arm raised to show off fake blood-covered whip marks on his elbows and chest and waist.

His Afro and beard add to his enslaved persona, thanks to Judy Murdock, whom Smith credits for his makeup.

Smith Hosts Dave Chappelle And Others For Private Screening

When news of Smith slapping Chris Rock went viral, Dave Chappelle was one of the celebrities to criticize the four-time Grammy Award winner. The move prompted fans to conclude that their friendship was over.

However, the opposite happened when the father of three hosted an all-star gathering of friends for a private screening of “Emancipation,” and Chappelle was there.

Viewers saw the comedian in a photo Smith shared on Instagram in October. The Blast shared that the “Chappelle’s Show” star was seen looking into the camera as the “Parents Just Don’t Understand” singer snapped a selfie with her and other celebrity guests, including Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Fawn, Tyler Perry , and Kenya Barris, in first slide.

The 49-year-old is seen again in the next picture, striking a straight pose during a conversation with a seated guest. For the occasion, Chappelle wore a brown round neck shirt, black pants, and a simple necklace hanging from his top.

Behind the stand-up comedian is a spotlight that highlights the projector screen with the film’s name. Smith wrote under the photo, “EPIC night!! Thanks for coming to see #Emancipation. Hope you will enjoy!!”

His friends didn’t hesitate to answer his question as Barris commented, “Tonight was MAGIC, and your movie is truly something that will last forever!” “Emancipation” will feature Smith as Peter, a man who escapes from slavery and goes to seek freedom in Louisiana during the American Civil War. The action thriller is set for a December 9, 2022 release in the United States.
