A neighbor of the man arrested for kidnapping nine-year-old Charlotte Sena claims he tried to snatch her granddaughter from her front yard last July.
Carol Brown, 61, told The Post that police showed her a photo of Craig Ross Jr., 46, who was arrested Monday for allegedly robbing Sena — and she immediately recognized him.
“I told the police that a man had tried to arrest my grandson last July. That’s when they showed me the pictures,” Brown told The Post. “I recognized him immediately, 100%. Then, I said it was him.”
Brown claims she and her grandson Braiden were doing yard work in July when Ross was seen towering over the 10-year-old as she went back out to turn on the spigot for the hose.
“I heard the dog start panicking, really freaked out, so I ran back to see what was going on and there was a very scary looking man standing over my grandson who was bending over the weed whacker,” she said. “He was standing over it, inches away.”

The grandmother said Ross had been wearing “Native American” style earrings with “feathers and loops” that looked like dreamcatchers, but said other than that, he looked like his mugshot. The alleged kidnapper looks disheveled in his prison photo with messy and unkempt hair.
After Brown ran over to her grandson, Ross reportedly started “leaning back” and told her he was just asking Braiden to help him “put a string on my new weed whacker.”
When Brown suggested she get her husband to help, the alleged kidnapper “ran” towards the bike she had left in the road, saying: “Oh, no, no, no. I’m fine.”
“When the police showed me the picture, I would have fallen on my face if I hadn’t sat down,” the grandmother told The Post. “My grandson was surprised when he saw him when I showed him the picture of the man we saw in July.
“For weeks after that, I was scared, both of us. We’ve lived here for 30 years, I’ve never seen anything like it. 100%! In retrospect, I believe I wouldn’t have run around the house when I hearing the dog was afraid my grandson would be lost.”

Brown — whose husband recently retired from his job as a detective — said they suspected “something” was going on at her home, but they didn’t “know the people.”
The grandmother said she “prayed for 48 hours” after the warning for the Sena to leave. He knew something was up when the police arrived at Ross’ house.
Ross was arrested on Monday after he was linked through fingerprints to ransom money left in the Sena family’s mailbox.
