A harrowing video shows the moment a vicious man wielding an iron bar hit a woman as she pushed a baby in a stroller along a road in Southern California – just hours before police say the same assailant struck a 60-year-old woman in the head.
The back-to-back attacks happened Thursday in Long Beach, leaving one of the victims bleeding profusely from a head injury. The first incident happened shortly before 10 a.m. and was captured on surveillance video.
The footage shows the suspect running up to a woman walking with a child and hitting her in the back of the head with an “unknown object,” according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The victim screamed heartbreakingly and fled in fear while pushing the stroller. The woman was later taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Fox 11 reported.
Police said the child in the woman’s care was not injured.
