WWE Westler Sara Lee Passes Away At 30

The family of Sara Lee, a WWE professional wrestler, and mother of three, recently revealed that the 30-year-old passed away. Sara joined the WWE in 2015 after finishing as one of the two winners in the season six “Tough Enough” competition.

Before the news of her death, the 30-year-old posted a picture of herself on Instagram in which she mentioned her sinus infection, but otherwise, Sara looked as healthy as could be. He also revealed his desire to return to the gym.

Sara’s family’s statement on her passing did not mention the cause of her death; however, they request privacy from the public. WWE, as well as several of his colleagues, took to social media to comment on his departure.

Sara’s mother, Terri Lee, took to Facebook to announce that her 30-year-old daughter had died. The post was made on Thursday and did not reveal the circumstances behind his departure; however, Terri revealed that the funeral arrangements are not yet complete and are still ongoing.

He wrote in a Facebook post, “It is with a heavy heart that we want to share that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus. We are all shocked, and arrangements are incomplete. We ask that you respectfully allow our family to mourn. We all need prayers, especially [husband] Cory and his kids.”

The retired professional wrestler is survived by her husband, Cory James Weston, and three children, five-year-old Piper, Brady, three, and Case, 14 months. Weston, like his wife, is part of the WWE and performs under the alias Wesley Blake.

Sara rose to fame in the wrestling world after winning season six of the popular “Tough Enough” competition series. Because of the win, the mother of three became an NXT wrestler after earning a $250,000 one-year contract with WWE.

The 30-year-old made his last post on his social media account on October 4, revealing that he was feeling well enough to continue working out after a brush with a sinus infection. The picture posted is of him in front of the bathroom mirror, looking quite fit. The post was captioned, “Celebrating finally being well enough to go to the gym 2 days in a row for the first time a sinus infection has hit my butt #Saraselfie #gain.”

Some of Sara’s wrestlers reacted with shock at her death and contacted the distraught family to console them. WWE also released a statement asking fans to keep his family in their prayers.

In recent Twitter post, WWE paid tribute to Sara and described her as an inspiration to several people who are part of the sports entertainment industry. The post read, “WWE is saddened to learn of Sara Lee’s passing. As a former ‘Tough Enough’ winner, Lee was an inspiration to many in the world of sports entertainment. WWE extends its condolences to her family, friends, and fans.”

Some of the 30-year-old’s colleagues also took to Twitter to express their condolences. Alexis Cabrera, better known as Alexa Bliss, posted a photo of Sara on her Twitter. “We love you, Sara. So heartbreaking,” the wrestler wrote. “Please keep Cory & their family in your thoughts and prayers.”

Sara’s fellow “Hard Enough” competitor, Daria Rae Berenato, also known as Sonya Deville, revealed that the loss was “absolutely heartbreaking.” he continued“Life is too short. Sara is amazing, sending love and prayers to her family and loved ones.”

WWE Colleague Sara Lee Launches GoFundMe

To help the three children and husband Lara left behind, the 30-year-old WWE colleague Bull James launched a campaign to raise money. Although the campaign goal was set at $20,000, it surpassed the goal and reached over $50,000.

The description of the GoFundMe campaign reads, “We are all shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Tough Enough winner Sara Lee. As her loving husband Cory stepped in and continued to raise their 3 children, the last thing anyone in that position wants to worry about is money and paying for the funeral and everything that comes with it.”

It continued, “The wrestling community is always one to come together after a tragedy, and this is no different.” James, by way of description, concluded by explaining that the amount collected would be given to Sara’s husband and children and thanked the contributors.
