The Blast broke exclusive details about West being sued by former Christian academy teachers who claim the private Christian school followed “unlawful educational practices,” as well as numerous health and safety violations.
Two teachers are suing him and in court documents, they say it’s not up to code and West is weird. Cecilia Hailey and Chekarey Byers tell similar stories about their experiences at the academy.
These include various health and safety violations and several “unlawful educational practices.” The violation was brought to the attention of the director and principal of the school, Moira Love at least three times but nothing was done.

More information is being released and it appears that the West has some strange practices. Official complaint obtained by Online Radar said.
“In the middle of the main classroom, the skylight was left unglazed which inevitably allowed the rain to fall straight inside, where the water would seep into the floor, which would lead to a musty smell for days to come.”
Also, “The skylight is intentionally glassless because WEST stated that he doesn’t like glass.” The complaint came from Isaiah Meadows who had an unfortunate experience at the academy.
Meadows also alleged that Donda Academy had “serious wiring problems,” which caused an electrical fire “near the student dining area where wires were laid on the ground, exposed.”

It’s not just the lighting unfortunately, the septic system is described as terrible. Apparently, the septic tank would “overflow every day, causing a horrible smell.”
When Meadows, the former assistant principal held a meeting to raise concerns she was “suspended after calling a meeting and raising concerns about school operations,” only to be reinstated two weeks later at a lower salary.
The academy (Ye) stopped paying his rent, this not only violated the contract he signed with the academy and West but it also left Meadows in dire straits financially.

Isiah Meadows Fired Anyway

All this drama for Meadows ended without a job. When he returned to the post, he began making complaint after complaint about inconsistent pay and health and safety breaches against the academy before allegedly being fired without cause in August 2022.
In his lawsuit against West and the academy, the former assistant principal’s attorney named other similar incidents with his client from other former employees.
“The illegal and vindictive behavior by Mr. West and the school director has now been documented several times by other former employees who never worked together but all experienced the same appalling treatment and witnessed violations of health, safety and education codes that same, while all suffered the same fate – wrongful termination – and we plan to hold them accountable.”
