The upcoming ‘Bachelor’ frontman couldn’t agree more with his ex’s concerns about whether his age played a role in his willingness to get engaged. She publicly expressed her feelings in the press following her exit from the show.
“He is four months older [than me],” Shallcross stated to Jennifer Hudson during an appearance on her talk show, “I was 25 years old when we had that conversation. So what I’m trying to say is that I’m 26 now, so I’m ready.” (every Weekly Us)

Reactions were mixed in the comments section of Shallcross’s Instagram post. While many Shallcross followers offered their support, few were transparent in sharing their decision not to follow the upcoming season.
